This how I got comfortable with the God question - all the inequities of life motivate us to improve our conditins. You might see a parent that doesn't tie his or her shoes for a kid and makes that kid tie it for themselves. And it could even look cruel and pointless waste of time, but that is the only way for kid to improve, to get good at something. To be competent and self-reliant. You might laugh at zoomers and their crying and complaining at the smallest hardship - that's what happens if children are given too much comfort, if people do not improve themselves. That's what humanity would be like but worse if God handed everyone every comfort.
