Yea...and all the white comics Joe Rogan keeps propping up 😂. Mainly Ari. He sucks balls. So many shit comics now. Akash. The women comics....horrible.
It’s honestly kind of tragic that most of us discovered Patrice and his work from this special, and this was arguably where he would have blown up career-wise, but he passed away shortly after this. RIP to the 5-star general himself 🫡
I saw Patrice open up for Louis CK in Chicago in like 2008, and while Louis absolutely crushed, Patrice stole the show. He had the crowd absolutely howling.
The great thing about Patrice is that for all his bravado, he is not afraid to make himself look vulnerable once in awhile and admit that he gets depressed and takes self-esteem hits sometimes. Love that about him
I honestly love Patrice to death, I can’t get enough of hearing his voice. Even when he’s being philosophical or telling horrible moments of his life, it’s still hilarious. No one could thoroughly describe their depressing, existential dread and make me laugh like that. You really gave so much to the people that enjoy you. Long with Patrice 💪🏽
Patrice was not just a Comedian, but a true Philosopher / Spiritual Artist He was able to make sense of America's mess 10 years before most others They don't let People like him Become Famous anymore... he is forever a Beacon of Truth I hope my generation and the Younger Zoomers/Alphas keep listening / discovering this guy
I was never bothered by Opie. Then Ant got fired, he & Jimmy started trashing the Opster, and I didn't get it. Now, I listen back to old clips, and it all comes flooding to me like the reveal at the end of The Usual Suspects. He's awful and I don't know how I missed it.
The more I listen to Patrice, the more I get "Angry" with him that he didnt take care of himself enough to stick around. He wouldve been an absolute menace in this society and we needed him. I had a cousin that died similar to him. Diabetes, didnt take care of himself, didnt want to get treated or make a change, left a wife and young kid. I cant imagine how his closest friends and family felt losing him in that way when it was such an avoidable thing.
I think it was best for him to go even though I would love to still hear from Patrice about current life. I believe the higher order, whatever it is, knew it was time to cut the strings. It’s sad, but I believe he was too righteous for this world and would not have survived as well as people think he would. People get canceled for all types of shit. Patrice is the real Godfather, not Kevin Samuels. He would not be able to be righteous to himself in this PC world.
@@MrDaubigne his last interview with Jack Thriller, he seemed to have lived and died by what he believed in. May not be biblically righteous, but nonetheless, righteous
34:52 BiLL BURR ARRiVEZ iN LiKE THE LAZT 4 MiNUTEZ, A WARNiNG WOULD'A BEEN NiCE UPLOADER ! SO HERE iT iS FROM ME VASECTOMiEZ 4 ALL ! [NOT YELLiNG, JUZT LiKE TYPiNG iN CAPZ]
If he could only see how much of what he did/said/and his thinking is still influencing and making a mark almost 20 years later. I don't have a good memory for a lot of things,....but I remember where I was when I watch "Elephant in the Room." On an international flight and I was crying laughing. That was the day he took first place as my favorite comedian by far. And then I later found out he had died years ago. Not only that....I lived close enough to meet him when he was alive and didn't know. Life is a (blank) sometimes.
@@holaaamannnAnthony and Bill had a falling out, so now Burr sucks. Also, he made fun of white women and somehow that means he's "woke." And it's all because of his black wife. These are the complaints of the tribal sheep. "Anthony is his enemy? Now he is my enemy!" In 20 years people are allowed to change.
In my opinion, the posthumous "Mr. P" is Patrice at his best. He talked about things like income tax being slavery, without being angry, walk-the-crowd, Bill Hicks guy. Even Carlin was more clever and philosophical, but not too funny. Patrice had hilarious material AND did top notch crowd work.
