Opinel Knife Review | Picnic kit, Nomad kit & Grill kit 

I received one of those knives in one of those monthly subscription boxes. It is very sharp. I also love that one you recommended from Columbia River: the rip snort.

Love the opinels and I have everything in the videos. Please convince them to make a spatula for the picnic kit maybe with a silicon coating for pans that are coated! Would be a dream come true

I have a picnic kit and really, really love it!

Had no idea that kit was out there- More to add to my Christmas list! My girls and I just came back from Italy and found the number 2 Opinels… such a great company!

Funny timing, I was just looking for a slicey knife for cooking at camp. A couple weeks ago I received my standard Opinel #8 in stainless. They're not some new super-metal collectable, but they're affordable, classic, and wonderfully functional.

Opinel makes the best stuff!

The locking ring can also lock the knife closed in the same way. Great upload, thank you !

These are new to me, as far as the kits, and kitchen / grill tools.

Hi Chef Corso. I do like your videos and the dishes you make... I do love my Opinel knifes. THe Nomade kit, the smaller knifes and the mushroom knife... All Opinel knifes are extremely sharp and I do get scared when you cut against your palm. It doesn't take much to get hurt. Thanks for the review... Stay safe Regards...

Opinel’s have a long and classic history, but love the new picnic kit! That’s now on my Xmas list too:) …. Also cringed when you cut towards ur palm!

Love my Opinels! I have a #8 carbone from the early 1980's thats still in amazing shape. Saving up for this new stuff! The size is the length in cm. Do you prefer SS or carbon blades? Great review

Thanks for the video! Do you know if the fork and knife can be used on Opinel n.7? For my son I got the children's chef kit.

Are they still made from recycled products? I've had mine for a few years. Given to me as a present and not something I would have bought myself. Now I'm hooked. A quick sharpen on a steel is all mine has ever needed for cutting all sorts of things from tomato to leather and insulation paper.

I used the picnic kit last weekend and it worked great, so and I added another # 8 Knife so I could fork and cut my meat.and a #12 for big stuff LOL

Opinel's are also extremely light weight and come in both high carbon and stainless steels.

The Picnic kit is not practical for me - you can have the knife or fork, but not the knife and fork. What's the point? I have the Nomad kit for a few years, it's great in general, but No12 has definitely not the best serrator. I've replaced it with the Victorinox foldable paring knife - its serrator is a perfection.

Opinel #13 is way beyond my budget.
