@@robertgrider4346 Link from Good Mythical Morning and Beverly Mitchell from Seventh Heaven. You hear both of them saying that on the GMM episode Mystery Lunch box.
Other videos: “here’s my life story, a background check of the present, me approaching the opossums for 4 minutes, me teasing them with the banana for 10 minutes, and then the video cutting off as soon as a single opossum licks a banana”
Whenever I'm eating a banana I come back to this video and put it full-screen and eat along with them the same way and it's like we're having a banana party.
Isaac Woolley that’s cool and all but who cares about your reply😬 I mean no offense, well all offense 👀 but I didn’t comment under u as we can see that comment name isn’t yours😐 well 🤷🏽♀️ good luck😁
@@victorh7675It’s weird. They’re called opossums, possums for short. Yet there’s another group of animals in australia named after them called possums. English is a weird language
@@scrubnoodle Possum isn't short for Oppossum. As you just stated, they are two distinct species from two continents on opposite sides of the planet. If someone calls an Opposum a Possum they trippin!
@@victorh7675 I think most people in the US call them that for short. Somehow without knowing the australian animal exists, a lot of people think the “o” is silent.
I believe it's because humans eating just sounds uncomfortable to other humans, but when it's coming from smol animals, it's alot more bearable, even soothing to some people.
@@DUCKDUCKGOISMUCHBETTER you’re about as dumb as the man in your profile picture. Anyone’s who likes that a-hole is stupid and brainless just like he is.
It’s strange. The ‘O’ Opossum IS silent, but that’s a more limited species (which i think are pronounced the same) where possums is the species that includes opossums, if that makes sense.
I love their little ears! Their little teeth do give me pause, but, as with most wild animals, they can be tamed, and come to trust a person, and build a bond of affection with that person, and can, I firmly believe, feel love toward their friends and family, as we do, including their human friends. I would love to meet someone's tame opossum friend, and scratch behind those little ears! But yeah, those teeth could be JUUUUUST a little scary.
Re hikikomori, your name is Hakikomori, with an "a", however, I have heard the term "herbivore" being used for the "abnormal avoidance of social contact, typically by adolescent males", in documentaries and articles, but couldn't remember the Japanese word for it.
One time i was taking the trash and my dogs outside. When i threw my trash away, there was an opossum/possum standing right before me. I didn’t know what to do so i told my dog to come and ran so fast back home. Honestly, i overreacted. The opossum/possum was adorable. He just looked into my eyes,(he was probably more terrified than me) and chilled there. He was just a little man vibing, looking for food. He was so calm and in reality i think they are very sensitive/easily scared creatures and just wanna go about there day. They’ll only be pissed off if you bother them or try to hurt them, but most of the time they’ll just freeze because THEY are scared. Some won’t even mind you petting them, but i wouldn’t recommend because they are in fact a wild animal and it’s better to leave them alone :)
I love how they are all standing straight ahead eating their bananas like they have to use their entire head to chew. They all seem so focused like it takes so much concentration and energy it's the best ☺️
Ahh the opossum. The most relatable animal. It's range of emotions is from mildly displeased to existential scream. Sometimes, it even screams at its own ass.
Why do I love this so much When I volunteered at a wildlife rehab, we had a “possum stick”. They aren’t aggressive animals, they’re just defensive, so they can get hissy even when you’re just trying to share food with them, because they are scared you’re trying to hurt them So when we fed them…there was a stick hanging on the wall to kinda push em back when you needed to feed them. Not bc they were mean - they were just scared
I know that by now these sweet lil souls are in heaven. However, this is one of THE most adorable videos ever . I truly hope they were able to live their lives as happy as they were here. Thank you for this. But mostly, thank you for taking care of them. taking care of them.
Yeah, and their appetite for the chickens in your backyard when you're 7 and you have to see a dead chicken and they're in a cage and they show their teeth and hiss at you
