Not really a guess since they can only have up to 13 babies at a time, thats the amount of teets they have and the babies won't let go of them until they leave the pouch.
Hi @Incameet! :) ~ I am working on yt video project about Opossums and I was wondering if I could use some of your Opossum footage (I would credit you of course!)
They can carry 13 babies in their pouch. They have 12 nipples in a circle with a 13th in the center. Once they latch onto a nipple, they constantly feed until they are ready to come out. They are only pregnant for a few weeks at best. They are awesome lil critters.
