Looking forward to this phone. Didn't end up getting a Find X3 Pro as my Reno 10X Zoom is still going (though it's 3-years old now so it's bones are starting to creak). Holding out for the inevitable vegan leather option (I quite liked the previous Find X vegan leather options, though this time it looks like it's going to be light blue).
I got the oppo Reno 2 because of your reviews a couple years ago and I got the find X 3 pro back in December cos of your reviews as well and I have to say thank you uncle spurt. The best phones I've ever had
So, I just rewatched oppo findx3 pro review. What are getting here ladies and gentlemen compared to the last year's phone? - bigger battery (wooow, no way??) - new chip (are you freaking kidding me? Who could have guessed?) - a slightly better lense. Plus this phone got 20 grams heavier and they got rid off that microscope which came in handy when I wanted to astound some lady with a pic of my junk. Is it worth the upgrade?
The Neo is just called the Find X5 this year. Are you sure about the specs on the X5 lite? It's normally 8gb Ram 128gb storage, it certainly won't have more Ram than the X5.
This could be the ideal upgrade for me from a Galaxy S20, instead of the S22 … it pisses me off I have to buy the massive unwieldy ultra model to get the best camera.
Can't imagine why anyone would choose the s22 ultra over this. More ergonomic shape, much faster charging, actual charger AND case in the package, less bloated UI.
I'm about to ditch my Find X3 Pro for the S22 Ultra. Oppo's been slow on software updates (still on Android 11), while the S22 Ultra has the stylus and very favourable trade-in bonuses and pre-order freebies.
I know why, better cameras, better screen, better looks, more elegant, (wtf is all that writing in the back), stylus, software support. Samsung is more prestigious overall, second to apple.
@@ChrisJohannsen S22 is better in everything . If people cared about ergonomic no one would be buying iphone 13 pro with worst design, sharp rectangular edges, heaviest phone . S22u will get 4 OS updates while oppo will get 2 . S22u has Spen when u need it

I had a oppo find x2 pro before having a Samsung s21 ultra and I can safely say I preferred the oppo. Every day use the oppo worked better. The camera was better too apart from the 10x zoom.
Been using oppo for a while now (A5 2020) for nearly 3 years now & still in love with it, but when Uncle Spurt said "it ain't going to be cheap" I'd rather get ready my beer ready for watching TSW ep 100.. BTW cheers great review sir!!
@@highlightshadow I'd say maybe the saddest & slowest to get updated. I only get 1 major update for sure, as for security updates, still getting an update till now (hopefully till the end of the year)
Great unboxing video...very detailed! I remember back in the day however unboxing stuff used to be fun...it was like opening a Christmas gift. Is it just me or are companies getting either lazy or uncreative in their presentation? Great video though :)

Love my Find X2 Pro but the trade in value is absolutely minimal. All that tech and Oppo phones are worthless when you're done with them. Hoping they offer some sort of enhanced trade in with the pre-orders.
My find X2 pro is holding up good after 2 years but trade in is only £190 I believe. Samsung will trade in for £320 on their website in order to get the s22 ultra

Don't you get bored sometimes, making videos of the same old features of android or apple(doesn't matter). barring 2-3 UI differences, everything's same software-wise at least.

Nice specs, though to me the camera bump looks like an embarrassing skin gargoyle. I'm now firmly implanted in the Xiaomi camp and they have upped their updates promise, so I would be nervous still spending a lot of the money I don't have on anything non - X, Samsung or Google etc. I would seriously put a case or bandage on that bump.
7 months ago i bought the X3pro and it was 300 dollers and now its 200 dollers ( new in sealed box) which is really bad because a used one will not worth 100 dollers max, xiaomi can't hold its phones prices. Maybe its different between other countries markets however i regret that i bought it because of price dropping issue. If you are not planing to keep it with you for 2 or 3 years then be carefull and dont buy any of xiaomi phones because the price will drop like hell within few months. this is just my opinion.

Hey Chris, do you think there will be a huge difference between the pro and non pro version? both of them uses mari silicon but the non pro version uses 888 instead of the 8 gen 1.
While I'm not Chris, I can tell you that the difference is incremental but has some very strong positives. I've literally used a 888 and 8 Gen 1 phone back to back and the difference is more in smoothness and consistency. Sometimes the 888 can jitter a little when there is a couple of apps open or lots happening on the display. The 8 Gen 1 is a improvement as it's hard to trip it up. Battery life on 8 seems to be slightly better, even on the same battery and similar hardware. Gaming, both are capable and differences are not too significant there. While it's not a huge difference, if you don't mind the extra cost, 8 Gen 1 is superior in daily use. Hope that helps!
I'm still loving my X3PRO but this shows promise of tech advancement. I'd like to know what you think about upgrading as I'll probably keep my 3pro until find X7 or if there foldable find N gets a few years in. I'm also loving that they've put a bigger battery in this one. I do wish that my X3PRO had 5000mah.
@@highlightshadow on the 3xpro it's 3 years of security and Android updates. But I don't worry about that kind of thing in general as I always have my own phone/internet security on my phone's no matter what I have anyway. And usually a phone will keep going for at least 5ish years. It slows down by the end of it but that's the only way I can justify buying a flagship by keeping it for at least 5years.
An absolute beauty but it seems a shame to spend that much on such a premium finish and then put it in a case. Also, the camera doesn't seem to justify the extra price as per phone camera comparisons with the OnePlus 10 Pro but I could be wrong as I haven't seen either.
@@КристиянТрънбашев-ш6г depends on where it is being sold. In the UK it's priced at a similar price as the S22 ultra. Whereas in India 13 pro Max is hell more expensive than S22 ultra
Hi. Thanks for all the reviews. They're great but I'm confused. 2yrs ago I upgraded from the OnePlus 5T to the 7T. I wish I hadn't....I didn't really notice any difference in performance. I don't want to make the same mistake again. If you were me, upgrading from the 7T now, what would you upgrade to?...the X5 Pro, the S22 Ultra, the OnePlus 10 Pro, or something else? As someone who’s handled a lot of phones, I’d avoid the OnePlus 10 Pro, feels really cheap and I managed to turn one into a banana after it being in my back pocket. S22 Ultra is nice but I don’t feel it’s really evolved much since last year. X5 Pro is epic and where I’d put my money. I used one for 2 days and I didn’t want to give it back. I’ve preorder one for when consumer release happens here.
Oppo needs to give the same Android updates as Samsung. The other problem is they don't offer zero percent apr like Apple and Samsung. And then what is the after sales value lol?

I liked the X3 Pro, but felt it was a step back from the X2 Pro with the removal of the periscope and the interesting leather/ceramic build. This just feels more of the same, and agree the FCC/EU crap on the back is awful!
What?? You really don't get any sci Fi vibes from this device, what? Really? To me the back end really looks cyborgy and cool though it looks a bit like it's ready to fire out lasser beams but cool to look at I just wish the camera thingy was centered. Why do we get the ugly version in uk. The Reno Oppo 7 pro with none of these curved edges see here onky available elsewhere. If we don't get the straight edge phones in UK. I'm not touching these ugly phones.
no hphone socket, not interested...camera looks way over saturated....looks like every other phone out there...meh....lets be honest, to all intents and purposes phones are now at the limit until new battery tech and cam tech is ibrought in and even then theyll still all look virtually the same....need to ditch the glass and ceramic chassis, poly carbonates are far more durable, less likely to break....

Sorry for posting a question on an older vid but wanted your opinion in light of current black Friday deals. This Oppo X5 Pro or the Oneplus 10 Pro? They can be had for within £40 of each other currently on Amazon (£699 for Oneplus or £739 for the Oppo) which both seem too good to miss as I'm in the market for an upgrade from my Oneplus 8 (non pro version). The screen saver used in your reviews is always awfully noisy and doesn't show the strengths of the screen being reviewed. Employ plain matured screen saver for God's sake so can see the user interface very well
The only reviewer that reviews more than the camera! British humour is ace too. Best tech reviewer without a doubt. Doesn't seem so horribly biased like marques brownlee either. Great guy. Find x5 Pro is incredible and much much nicer in person. The x2 Pro is still extremely nice in person and nowhere near close to looking outdated. These are amazing phones for those that haven't had one. Other than the usual Samsung and apple, oppo and xiaomi are the best imo. Used every brand known to man. Xiaomi get the edge for me with hardware but software down to oppo.
