yes in my place about 1050 us dollar 8298 hong kong dollar can buy Samsung s22u why I need buy this China phone Samsung real 2k display and camera make by themself I am happy use my Samsung and iPhone that are the best
true enough, i had the chance to buy this phone unlocked for 949€ with the freebies and i think it was a fair amount bringing the effective cost of the device to about 700€, otherwise i would have not bought it and gone for the s22 ultra
I wanted a flagship android. Didn't want Samsung . I love the design, superb looking phone. All the flagship spec that I wanted. Camera, sound, screen are superb. Colour os is just as good if not better than Samsung offering . So I bought it and couldn't be happier.
I'd happily say this is the best Android device so far June 2022 Pixel 6 pro is a close second. But I find my oppo faster and smoother than my pixel 6 pro. The s22 ultra is dreadful software animation wise. I'm finding colour os really good.
which would you recommend between the find x5 pro and the regular pixel 7? I'm leaning towards the oppo because of the build, the battery and the screen, but the pixels amazing camera is really enticing me. I don't take many pics but if i had a better phone i know i'd be snapping away regularly. (i'm using a galaxy s9+).
I have the previous model the Find X3 pro (there is no 4 - 4 is an unlucky number hence there is no 4th floor ist 3A) which is still grat and has a microscope on top and a 5x + 2x optical zoom.
the 5x hybrid isn't that good though, you really see the limitations of the 2x optical... I don't get oppo, they simply needed to put the same periecope from x2 pro... they really are prioritising design over function
For others info: 4 is unlucky number in some Asian countries eg. Four in Cantonese is sei3 (mid tone) which sounds like sei2 (rising tone) which means Death
Give me the Oppo find x5 pro over the s22 ultra, iPhone 14 pro max or OnePlus 10 pro all day every day. The difference in this phone having received android 13 is absolutely incredible. It’s faster and smoother than my pixel 7 pro. Best phone of 2022.
I know it's a bit late, but would be please give me your opinion between pixel 7 pro and find x5 pro, especially camera wise photo and video, I'm torn right now between them
I was getting s22plus then I tryout Oppo Find X3Pro ui much smoother than s22plus. So I chose Oppo Find X3 Pro over s22plus bcus of smoother ui. Just the downside of Find x3 pro comparing to s22plus is galaxy camera still away sharper & better than oppo. If I'm comparing my X3 Pro VS X5 Pro is just a little upgrade on night mode(marisilicon chip). Front 1080p video & no periscope on Oppo would not make me upgrading to X5 Pro.
@TechTablets Hi Chris, It would be really great if you can do a review of Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet. It's the only high performance mini tablet in the Android world. Tnx
Bought Oppo Find X2 Pro (EU distribution) and one year later the phone started to loop, restarting repeatedly. Cannot get my pix out of it. Never gamed. No Oppos for me. Flagship takes down the whole flotilla.
Better late than never Chris. A great flagship from Oppo and one of the better ones this year, even though it's not perfect. I love the back design on this one, it's distinctively beautiful. Your transparent, thorough reviews are always worth watching Sir👏👏👍
I'm not sure if Chris put out any videos for the previous Find X phones. He has reviewed other Oppo devices but not the Find X phones. Anyway, I was kind of looking forward to this review. It might be a better idea to purchase a Find X3 Pro at this time though.
I had to go back to navigation bar on my S22U as the gestures are so laggy. I do not know if it is Exynos but seems the same on all the Samsung phones I have had, and is like using a five year old phone. I have noticed the OPPO is much smoother and though not iPhone level, is a major step-up from Samsung. I am selling the S22U and keeping the OPPO as it is much better value and has the features and performance I need compared to the S22U. I did not pay near the retail price and although Samsung offers a year more support, I rarely keep my Android phones for more than 1-2 years so that is moot for me. I would say it is a good option for those wanting to get out of the Android Samsung rut and try something different and if the s-pen, zoom and 4K selfie are not a big deal then this is a pretty solid alternative.
Yes the gesture on my S22 Uktra are terrible!! So much lag and notification lag. But on the Realme GT2 series and this Oppo one of the best for Android. My iPhone 13 Pro Max is maybe a tad smoother but I cannot fault the Find X5 Pro very good there.
I will end up selling my S22 Ultra I think it’s so frustrating and disappointing I really only like the cameras, battery life is poor compared to the Find X5 Pro
Ok so i have a question for you, so i had a oneplus 10 pro and returned it due to it running 60hz in youtube and samsung internet browser, is it the same in the oppo?
@@ZizoGFX I do not use Samsung Internet but the OPPO goes to 120Hz on Chrome so I assume it will. On YT it only goes to 60Hz. That is because the max FPS is 60 in videos so no point having 120Hz. My S22U runs YT at 120Hz and is probably why battery life is poor. Also, the OPPO goes down to 10Hz whilst the S22U only 24Hz. Swings and roundabouts.
Great video and all that phone for under £600 (UK) and considering the Find X6 Pro is China only this is still a great phone and still holds up against the SD gen 2 flagships
Exactly the same problems with old X2 pro. Impossible to make a picture of my child as every picture was blurred, 90% of pictures were missed with moving objects. On the X3 pro, it's a bit better however, weird on X5 pro their is step down with this point
Hi TechTablets how can your Oppo Find X5 Pro screen not become yellow when using Pro Screen Color Mode Cinematic (slider default / center)? My Oppo Find X5 Pro, will display yellow-ish color if i'm using the Pro Mode Cinematic mode (slider default / center like yours). Btw i'm using Color OS 14, and because of this yellow display issue, I always take the slider to the left (cooler temp), and I often calibrate the white balance when i'm using Pro mode in the camera, and having difficulties to get the most accurate color from the camera, because of this display problem.
Well I had a few messages and DM's that I was now a paid shill and sold out because I was selected as an Oppo ambassador. But we aren't actually paid despite whatever people assume. So I just thought it best to included the little disclaimer so people know I'm an Oppo Ambassador from the start.
Just got a new sealed one for around $450 (IDR 7.500.000). It's been working great so far! A great phone to multi-task, thanks to Color OS and the extendable RAM. Battery life is good, it mostly gets through a day with around 6 hrs screen on time (social media, music, RU-vid, and light gaming use). Camera's great and reliable in various lighting conditions. Last but not least, the ceramic backdoor deserves more credits. Definitely a much better choice than most 2024 midrange phones. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy gaming tho, since the SD 8 Gen 1 heats up pretty easily.
Hi Chris, this device has gotten a few updates. I believe front camera 4k is now enabled. Could you please let me know if it supports video out through usb-c and if it supports external SSD video recording through the usb-c as well. With it being available on the renewed market on Amazon for almost £500, how does this compare with 2023 phones. Be great to see a video on that. 🙏 Thanks

@@Techtablets Hello Brother Huawei released Mate XS2 today, Vivo released X80 Pro, X80, X Fold & X Note a few days ago. Honor released Magic 4 Ultimate, Magic 4 Pro & Magic V a few months ago.
The cons are common amongst Chinese phones, even on flagships. What a shame really. It's like they think all customers are too stupid to realize they cheaped out.
Yes, what really impressed me is the ultra wide in low light normally they are poor and have a lot of noise. Not this 50MP ultrawide. Can’t wait to see what they do with the second generation NPU Marisilicone
@@Techtablets ...and this is the reason why I decided to buy a 1 inch P&S camera instead of a new mobile phone and keep the older one...I don't want to switch to an iPhone
@@Techtablets im still wondering, is this a hardware limitation? cpu limitation? algorithm limitation? could it be fixed as a firmware update in the future? would iOS perfect video smoothness be working on qualcomm cpus using their proccesses?
@@sssssalva1 i think software limitation. By that I mean, ios only meant to be used on apple's smartphone. It is guaranteed to have better sw optimization. Whilst android vendors....
@@Techtablets I've been watching so many reviews trying to find a phone that records decent audio but don't fancy the S22 due to the battery life. Think I'm just going to settle for the standard Find X5. Thanks for being the only RU-vidr that covers audio quality!
I had the pro i downgraded IT to the regular x5 much better batterylife everything is almost the same only the camera stabiliser and the ltpo. I have My regalur it runinig on 120hz its My battery dont drain nothing
@@Techtablets Yes right I first had a find x5 which had already color is 3 I am now waiting for it to arrive in the netherlands. Hopefully it wants to make phone more great
Is the problem of low quality audio during video recordings fixed after a software update or still present ? Is the Oppo find x5 (not pro) have the same problem ??
Had this phone a couple months and I'm really pleased with it as a whole. The display quality, rear design, and fast charging alone make it all worth it. It really is a beast. I definitely agree with you that I wish the selfie camera was better though. My partner has the iPhone 11 (normal) which takes far clearer selfies especially close up.
I think Chinese phones have backed away from longer periscope zooms. I suspect it was from customer feedback and the privacy issue. That is a shame as most of us use them with respect to third parties, but I can understand if you have children or do not want to be surreptitiously photographed.
@@Techtablets Cheers! Let's see what it's like, it's just turned up ... I had an Find X3 Pro prior to this and that was a great phone apart from the poor battery life 😂
Hi. Really like your videos. Just wanted to check if you are facing the issue with find x5 pro . I see there is this issue with dual speakers. Ringtone when someone calls only triggers the bottom firing speaker. Even when on call and talking on speaker it just triggers the bottom firing speaker. BTW really 9hrs of SOT . I only get 6max. Should I get mine replaced lol.
Well they all throttle the SD8Gen1 phones unless fan cooled, at least it didn't boot me out of Genshin Impact with an overheating message like the POCO F4 GT I just reviewed.
Samsung, the fandom phone, uses GOS to power throttle games before you even use them and then thermal throttles Genshin. THe SD8G1 like most phone chips throttles hard without active cooling. This is sad as 4nm chips were supposed to be more efficient thermally than say the 5nm A15 from Apple, yet they perform worse.
218 g or 195 g what a heavy and pricey phone compared to Oppo find X3 Neo 184g actually around 400€ ( still curvy screen sadly😒) I don't like these overweight new models...By example Vivo X60 exynos version 176g (flat screen 😃) and new X80 weighted 203g !
I have had this phone since launch and the Software pretty bad on this phone. No apps/browsers are optimised for this phone with any video footage. WhatsApp video uploads have just been fixed which is ridiculous time to sort this out. Call issues where folk can't hear you then they do when you call back. It's a good phone in some areas but software is simply not good enough.
Great review thanks Chris. Do you know if there's a phone that combines cameras similar to the Find X5 Pro, with the flat screen and other great features of the Realme GT2 Pro?
@@Techtablets Just wish the cameras were a bit better, especially at night. Dxomark has the phone in for review. They've just released the audio segment results and the audio recording is rated below average. Thought you might like to know. :-)
@@SETHalpine I actually did get the Vivo x60, Chinese version, but it couldn't fully transfer over to English so I sold it. And also, although it was a great phone in many ways (the Chinese Origin software is just amazing), I was disappointed in the cameras. Selfies and portrait shots were far worse than my current, old, OnePlus 5. 🤷🏼♀️
If it’s the exynos S22U definitely get the Find X5 Pro! I have both and prefer every thing the Find X5 Pro offers. The only thing that’s better is the S22 Ultras front camera, zoom and audio
who are even the big players in the first place? there are just 3 types in the smartphone world 1)The Apple 2)The Samsung 3) The Chinese Apple also doesn't give you extreme Zoom but makes up for it in the Video department which Samsung isn't very consistent. Does anyone point at them? We should be glad that Chinese phones are giving us alternatives according to our budget and not forcing us to join Apple or Samsung. btw Oppo is offering better UI, better primary and Ultrawide camera, better battery and battery life, Hassleblad partnership to showoff and Ceramic build with the best front display, 2yrs warranty, 3-4ish years of OS updates and charger and case in the box. These alone are enough to stand in front of Samsung and Apple. in short, Samsung is better for those people who want insane zoom photography. Apple is better for those people whose priority is video. Oppo is better for those who want a proper mix and all-rounder phone and don't care about insane zoom or 4k selfie recording or best video quality
phone is very beautiful but apart from battery life, just nothing special to differentiate ot from other flagships, still imx766 (when the cheaper vivo x80 has 866), no periscope, not super bright screen, and that new marisilicon chip doesn't seem to improve a lot image quality, next to x3 pro photos they are almost indistinguishable
Great video yet again Chris. While this phone does look the business, it reminds me of how sad I am about my OnePlus 9 which is no longer running Oxygen OS and is now basically running the same colorOS ROM as what I saw in this review. Only problem is I find it more laggy than Oxygen OS. Either way, great video and appreciate the reviews!
Great video Chris do like your reviews really I'm looking at the oppo or the s22 ultra but the s22 ultra is exynos what are your thoughts as you've got both to compare
I have both and my S22 Exynos hasn’t been so great for me. Poor battery life, animation lags and other issues. It’s better but overall I would get the SD version of possible if not the Find X5 Pro.
