The Honor is set to launch at a slightly cheaper price than the Xiaomi here in Malaysia. Interesting matchup, and for the first time in my life I'm thinking of getting an Honor
Being using a Huawei P30 pro, and have pre ordered a Honor Magic 5 pro. I was surprised that my dated Huawei phone can do "Huawei share/Honor connect" thingy with the Honor Laptop in the Honor store where I placed my pre order. Now hoping that Honor Magic 5 pro can do "Honor connect" with my Huawei Laptop XD
Same, im using mi 11 ultra and i had the urge to change to the honor, the overheating problem on this phone just by scrolling ig or some apps is just plain dumb

Thanks for coverage on these phones, it really helps. Looking for a new phone with a good camera. I'm fed up with my S22, the system and camera is laggy. Shutter lag drives me crazy, just like the freakin fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Since Oppo has no android auto, it's not interesting. Xiaomi is hugely overpriced (i'm wondering what the global 13 ultra will cost). So that leaves me with Magic 5 Pro or Pixel 7 Pro.

I got Magic5pro a month ago (replaced s22u) and: I am blown away with the battery (7h SOT with 25% bat left, 5h SOT with 50% bat left, with everything on,...i just can't kill it within a day) Blown away with face recognition.. grabs your face from anywhere! Cameras, speed & screen are awesome as expected . Software is not as powerful as Samsung's. I really miss some features.. but the rest of it so good, that I dont think I will be back to samsung just because of a few software features. Nice work Honor.
I just bought old Xiaomi mi11 ultra, just for fun, and I think I like it more than my new Vivo, and definitely Oppo due to Android auto. I think I'm not phonoholic anymore :) buy used and old! Ouu and Good review as always Chris, keep it up.
@@PepperButt OPPO Find X6 Pro / vivo x90 pro plus and all the flagships that you only can buy via import are not supported for Android auto and does not work. There is no workaround.
The battery life of the Xiaomi seems excellent considering it has the smallest one out of the 3.... And it also seems to be a gaming beast, awesome.... But Xiaomi needs to do something about video out, 1080p front facing camera, it's not 2018 anymore....

I like the look, camera performance and software of OPPO x6 pro but there is screen flickering sadly. I'm sensitive to amoled screen flickering I suffer a lot from my Huawei p30
Hm for me honor its winner only huge minus for me long charging time but I can switch to 90hz acreen and some battery serving so I will get full day on it grat review!!

I would do it but the interest in such comparisons seems very low not worth the effort or cost of buying the A54 to take days to make such a comparison. Throwing away money and time sadly.
I've read elsewhere that Xiaomi has low scores initially its performance in the stress test because the battery on the settings by default is on Balanced mode, you have to switch to performance mode to have similar results with the rest of the 8 Gen 2 phones. Btw, what is your opinion on the Master-lens system on the Xiaomi 13 Pro (35mm B&W, 50mm portrait, 75mm portrait, 90mm soft focus) and is it enough to become an excellent choice not for realistic shots but for those who prefer a photographers approach to shots which leans towards style & mood (as to what Xiaomi has prioritized for their Leica collab) over realism? Hey! Don't know if you still need the info but, I have the 13 Pro and I can give you some info on that. Personally, I would say that the 13 Pro is probably the best phone for portraits, the bokeh is creamy, the edge detection is absolutely stunning and all around the low amounts of post processing with Leica Authentic gives it a natural and professional look. The 35mm B&W is decent with pretty good edge detection, the 50mm swirly bokeh is not really that good and I would only resort to using that when there isn't enough light to capture the photo and or you can't get far enough to use 75mm Portrait, 75mm Portrait is the best of them all with the best edge detection making the best photos which are beautiful and 90mm soft focus is a gimmick since it just smudges everything. I can even give you some examples of the portrait mode. However, I do not recommend anyone buy this device due to the major software issues it has. My 13 Pro is 4 months old and it's buggy, laggy, stuttery, has horrible battery life with under 4 hours of SoT and it's very unstable when it comes to USB. If you are only going to use this phone for camera or gaming, sure go ahead, it's probably one of the best on the market for both, but for daily driving it's an absolute pain in the ass and a flop.
Nice review. I really cannot continue using my S23 n s23 ultra. Both is really horrible to hold. The s23 is too boxy. N the 23 ultra with the annoying sharp edges. Just stupid. Cant wait to try the magic 5 pro.

In the UK, the Magic5 Pro is around £150 cheaper than the Xiaomi and Oppo, but with double the storage (512GB base). With the launch deals currently on where you get free Honor Buds Pro and the 50W Wireless Stand, its a no-brainer

The Find X6 Pro has many annoying things I've found, the terrible front camera is the big one. Worse ultrawide and battery life. I bought it thinking okay this is the best of the best, but really only for low light with the main rear camera. Nice screen but PWM rate isn't 2160hz and no 3D face unlocking.
Huh I just bought the oppo find x6 pro recently on a good deal. I wish I've seen this video earlier but I think I've no regrets. I got it on deal with only $565.

Very detailed and informative review! Consider buying one of them but they seem huuuuuge and I don't like curved screens, so I look more towards regular xiaomi 13( which is not best in terms of cameras. Which one of these 3 do you find most comfortable in hand? I like overall honor magic as it seems more well rounded in all aspects, but it seems rather wide that other two

I would be going for global rom on both and from what I see online I could get both for about the same price, so it's about the phone itself. Hi i decided not to but the base model due to low interest in my Find X6 Pro videos (all 3 of them) so this is really the review now just the X6 Pro. I hate to do it but no point me spending 3-4 days on the review to get 15k views and $30 adsense. The video would be a loss after resale.

I heard android auto and nearby share are not available in China import phones even after installing gms, and that Google map is missing history of locations you have previously searched. Are these all true?
I now only purchase these devices with which excels in lowlight or indoors & the better front facing shooter. Main back ones i dont worry myself too much with. Most are capable of giving the enduser a decent image. I lean toward the one that processes the more realistic or true to life vs too much processed image result.

Hi, my favorite phone is Huawei mate 50 Pro but I haven't bought it since it's still not 5G. But in term of camera does still still hold up to the best, bcoz I'm considering the 13 Pro instead. Even though I don't like its looks nor the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Oppo throttles that hard because it tries to maintain max performance for too long and then comes a moment when cooling down becomes emergency. I haven't see such a stupid thermal management strategy on any other phone...
Just why all of them had to have curved displays. I'm looking for s21+ replacement but everything except s23+ is curved. After S7 and oneplus 8 pro I'll never get anything but flat screen

I find the choice of using the xiaomi in this comparison an odd one since your own review and everyone else’s show the Vivo x90 pro being far and away better than the xiaomi. Better camera, better thermals, better performance.
Sorry but I sold the X90 Pro+ to buy the Find X6 Pro. I cannot afford to keep everything epically now with these low views and camera comparisons making $30. I will sell other to buy the 13 Ultra no doubt as Xiaomi isn't sending me one just paid influencers I think again. Reason I sold the Vivo X90 Pro+ is I was feed up even after firmware updates of the constant overexposed video quality and odd colors with video. I need better video with my phones.

We don't know where you're looking but on the UK Mi Store, the Xiaomi 13 pro is cheaper than 1100 and you can knock a few hundred off with mi points if you have those.
