Truly thought Alex had Izzy’s number, and to a degree I think he lives rent free in his head, but it was Izzy’s storyline that prevailed that night and I couldn’t be happier for him.
@@kingXrayz he clearly does if he messed him up 3 times😂 don’t use that excuse such as “ First match was rigged” or “ different sports.” Those arguments have been debunked, stay humble🥱 3-1
I am so F-ing proud of Izzy for overcoming such a immense challenge. I have so much respect for Alex. These 2 individuals are living proof of how amazing it is to take risks & challenge urself. They both are so skilled. Since they both are so talented and competitive, they individually brought the best out of each other by pushing themselves to the limits of what they are capable of mentally and physically. No other opponent could have done what those 2 did towards each other. They made each other better fighters, better athlete's, without even realizing it. I really liked seeing the mutual respect between the 2 of them after the fight back stage. That's the best part about a insane rivalry like this in MMA. Is when you see respect from each of them afterwards, no matter the outcome. It's good to see that respect of each other's skills.
@@kingXrayz yeah Alex can easily beat hill but as soon as one of those serious grapplers in 205 gets ahold of him he's gonna have serious problems of keeping the belt if Izzy can grapple him a serious grappler is gonna kill him
Izzy the truth I was so happy for him after the Alex ko I’ve never been that happy for someone I’ve never met in my life. So proud of him hope he keeps winning at life he deserves it I’m a fan forever
Adsanya got that never give up warrior mentality man's on a natural high after detonating that right on pereira he's got that never give up attitude best p4p champ ever in his division hand's down..
I gotta agree with TrueGeordie when he said that Izzy's performance is a lesson to the Boxing world and puts the top boxers to shame. Yes he got knocked out by the same guy twice and didn't have an official win against him, but rather than take a tune-up fight he got right back in there against Alex and he didn't coast to a decision, play it safe, or 'fought scared' he went through the fire and won in decisive fashion.
I found this channel a couple months ago and I love it! I obsessively follow MMA, and am aware of what you cover. But, the way you put these videos together and the work you put into it is awesome in every sense of the word.
Yeah I always have people mock me when I say he is a top 10 goat. Probably like 8-9th because his record, dominance and skill is worthy of that imo. But those people always fail to name 10 better fighters
@@therealbalto24 Jon Jones, GSP, DJ, Anderson Silva, DC, Stipe, Jose Aldo, Cejudo, Fedor, Khabib and to a lesser extent Volkanovski, Usman, Nunes, Shevchenko
@@DMBCFC man said Nunes and Chevchenko 🤦♂️ c'mon bruh. Khabib? With 3 defenses? Who retired early? Again c'mon bruh. Volk makes more sense sure he only has 4 defenses but he is like Fedor willing to fight dudes much bigger than him where khabib was weight cutting like a madman too fight smaller guys. So yeah Volk gets a pass. Stipe Il also let slide because who he fought and defended 3x against is impressive. But he has 3 defenses, 14-4 in the UFC? Compared to Izzy's 24-2. 5 defenses and 2x champ overcoming his heavyweight boogeyman. It's undeniable Izzy's resume is better you all just hate on the man cause he paints his nails n shit but that don't change the fact he is already a top 10 goat and he ain't finished yet.
@@therealbalto24 Khabib beat better competition. And If you don’t like weight cutting watch ONE not UFC so that’s an irrelevant point. I would be reluctant to put him in top 10 but he also has record for most defenses ever at LW so say what you want but it’s true. Volk beat better competition also. Both Nunes and Shevchenko are the 2 best womens fighters ever so I’m not sure why you’d disregard them. Stipe’s resume as a heavyweight makes it infinitely more impressive. Pereiras less than 10 fights into his mma career at the age of 35 so as that might be a personal battle that izzy won, if Whittaker had done it then we’d call pereira a fraud, it doesn’t hold the same weight in mma as it would’ve in Kickboxing where he made his name. I would say that he got unlucky being at 185 tho. The division is super weak division
Thank you @thefightingbusiness for taking the time and care to pronounce 'Adesanya' properly. In Nigeria, our names have meanings and these meanings carry power. And even if Izzy has said it properly a thousand times, so many reporters don't seem to care
The way a fighter and more importantly a champion responds to a loss is the test of true greatness in my opinion and Izzy proved his greatness once again
After watching that fight about 5 times I can officially say Izzy vs Alex 2 was the best fight I’ve seen in my 10 years watching UFC from the story line, the stakes involved, the stand up only fighting, technician vs KO artist, to the KO, the celebration, the post fight speech, fuck don’t see another fight topping this one.
The celebration gets me everytime. It is just so cold and symbolic hitting him with the bow thrice (the amount of losses he took from Pereira) with so much emotion being in that last "shot" and then breaking the bow in half, symbolizing how he has finally overcome the challenge that is Pereira. Idk if I'm overexaggerating, but I really think this is art xd
This is one of the best documentaries about a fighter I have seen. More grace to you bro and big up for Izzy he is my mentor and someone I look up too as a Nigerian
My guy give this man an award, the best Adesanya documentary I've seen so far, especially at the end when he said damn we never knew Izzy was going to be this great
YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO UNDERATED !!!! I can't believe the type of content is people missing... KEEP GOING BROTHA !!! Great content, Great edition, Great stories !!! 🔥🔥
I love these guys that can come back to the top after having a big loss They show how much you can achieve if you put your whole energy into something and don't give up till the very end Jose Aldo, GSP, Charles Oliveira And now Izzy too These people are idols for us and it doesn't matter if we like them or not They are a true inspiration for many people on this world, we have to admit that
Boy! This video was cold. Hate Izzy or Love him, he’s taken us along every step of his MMA journey. He’s def in the pantheon of the greatest fighters we have ever seen!
I love both Izzy and Alex but I was rooting for Izzy. His story is so inspiring and I’m so happy that he won. I’ll always enjoy watching Izzy’s fights.
Izzy one of the GOAT's. Love to say it, I'm from NZ and to be honest if he lost to Alex again his legacy would be tormented. But with that KO his legacy was reestablished as one of the GOATS!!
facts bro , if he had lost to alex a 4th time , that was it for Izzy , all the fame, money , everything he worked for would all b dropping down . But to come back just 4months after been tkod by the guy ppl say "u can never beat " and to knock him out cold really cemented his name in the GREATS BOOKS . IT WASNT ABOUT THE WIN, IT WAS HOW HE DID IT .
Izzy was one of the goats no matter what. He’s second to none in Middleweights in title fight wins even before the Perreria win and it’s not particularly close. If pereira beat him again his legend would’ve been tarnished but nobody would be able to deny his prime dominance.
Izzy is in my opinion THE #1 best middleweight fighter ever. i think it is fair to say "one of the best" but if you are one of those people that say he is trash or he is no where close you are simply just a hater.
When people talk about Izzy's fight IQ, it's evident in the his last one against Pereira...I jumped out of my seat when Alex was caught with a straight right and K0.
I always shook my head at fans' too-much emotion, but Izzy has won my total respect. The heart of a lion on him- AWESOME! - "i knew he was good but no-one told us that he is this good." ( i totally agree)
Another GOATED video about a GOATED fighter! To me, his second era has just begun with his second reign as champion. Truly a future hall of famer and is on the way to surpassing Anderson Silva.
Champions need someone who can bring it out of them and push them to a higher skill level. Izzy is now there and still in his prime. I can not wait to see what he shows the fans next time (whether it’s a chess game of points for a UD, or a cold KO 🥶).
Izzy is one of the GOATS at Middleweight, but Anderson Silva is the GOAT, like you said the numbers speak for itself. 11 title defenses with 3 wins at Light-heavyweight in the middle of all that, and each of those 3 wins by KO 🕷
Love Anderson the biggest fan the records speak for themself. But izzys resume way more impressive rob whittaker x2 vettori x2 alex cannonier kelvin Romero brunson silva himself Cant deny that. Those guys give prime silva problems
I am only 6 minutes in and I am blown away by this documentary, just wow man. I am pretty sure this is the best izzy video on RU-vid and I watched all of them. GOATED just like Izzy 💯
After witnessing such an epic clash of titans, it's clear that the fight was much more than just a physical battle. It was a battle of spirit, of willpower, and of sheer determination. In the cage, there's no room for half-heartedness or doubt. It's survival of the fittest, where skill meets grit. No matter the outcome, both fighters stepped into the ring as warriors and left as legends. Cheers to the beauty of MMA, where respect trumps rivalry and the human spirit reigns supreme! Remember, we're not just spectators, we're part of this incredible journey. Let's continue to respect the art and cheer on these brave souls!
Gastellum til this day was my favorite opponent for Izzy. I hope he grows stronger and gets through the division back to the top regardless whether it's against Izzy or not. I was rooting for Izzy as I have in all of his MMA fights but Kelvin tested Izzy more than anyone else including Periera
I'm hitting that sub button immediately after listening 🎧 to how you pronounced his name so well. U sure get me glued all through. Great work from you and your team
Thank you for rewinding the chronology of events. You should consider a compilations of media and fighters naysayers before the inevitable would be fun watch. God bless
Hey TFB!! Could you make a deep dive on the upcoming Lomachenko vs Haney fight? Its a really cool stylistic matchup and I think it'd be a banger. LOVE FROM THE PH
Izzy is one of the GOATS at Middleweight, but Anderson Silva is the GOAT, like you said the numbers speak for itself. 11 title defenses with 3 wins at Light-heavyweight in the middle of all that, and each of those 3 wins by KO 🕷
@@leandrodias2050 yup. I think recency bias is just getting more and more prevalent with the ever increasing access to content that only ever talks about “the guy” right now. People seem to have forgotten andersons greatness, and although I see adesanya as one of the best ever (at MW, NOT p4p) Silva is imo the the 1b to Jon Jones 1a in the GOAT convo.
Kudos for pronouncing his last name correctly, especially at the end of the video........ADESANYA Obviously, u ve done your research right. Your content is on another level. Keep it up. Loved it.
Thanks for this amazing video. I'm the one who always have izzy back when he was down, when izzy fans turn to alex Pereira fans, I'm always believe in izzy and I can tell that Alex Pereira fake fans are back to become Izzy fans. And I really appreciate it your hard work.
Izzy is special. We only see fighters like this once every decade or so. Conor was the last one. Paddy was set to be next but he fumbled and got too much into the money (not unlike conor). Then it was Alex, but he fell to the hype train syndrome. Can he withstand it? Time will tell.
All the fake izzy fans now coming back to support him once he’s won 😂 I love both fighters but I hate “fans” who just change who they like depending on who’s winning or who’s champ.
