With due respect to system of referendum, did Mohammad do a referendum when he created Muslims, did Christ do it? Did RSS do a referendum before breaking the Masjid? Did Raja Ram Mohan Rai, do a referendum before removing Sati system from Hinduism? Did Laden do a referendum before tumbling the world trade center? Did Einstein do a referendum before discovering relativity? People are in the dark. Society has historically depended a singular person, to take a turn for the good or bad and it will continue to do so.

I am not going to call you dumb, but misled seems to be a good affiliation. If you think you change the law its wrong. It's the same in all democracies more of less. The democratic people vote a federal government or a singular candidate for example the president. And it's upto a single person in the republic government or the president to raise an issue and change the law. But there are some people who go above democracy to change laws. It's not democracy never has been, it's one person who listens to the majority and rises up. And Turkey, Indonesia, Mali, Maldives are also democratises.

TheCam4 when you talk about a perticular law you must understand the reason and Base of the logic behind it...... when tradition of sati was in place it effected the life of an individual therefore it had to be removed....... secondly divorce is present in every democracy but methods whether in muslim or non-muslim world is different so if you want divorce to happen according to the consideration of the nation, referendum is necessary

There are lakhs of married people in our country who have aadhar card but they dont keep marriage certificate. they dont keep it coz to stay away from property dispute reasons. Then these same people everyday complaint that they are facing problem to produce birth certificate or change the name of their offspring coz they dont have marriage certificate proof.

In my opinion, it is essential that the Muslims go back to the fundamentals of Mohammed's message and weed out the inconsistencies and man made laws that have been inserted into it by rulers and moulvis to suit their own concept of society. Allah had told even Mohammed that he, Mohammed, was only a messenger and not a ruler/ leader. He was explicit that in Islam there can be no intermediary between God and any follower. These caliphs, imams and mullahs were and are self appointed; they have no sanction in the Quran to interpret it for others. They were and are exploiters of an Islam that they have created, overlaying the original message, for using religion to control the lives of others to their own benefit. Tell them to go to hell and take back your religion and practice it in an enlightened and humanistic way.

If the Hon'ble Supreme Court is already seized of and going to hear the matter, this is an purely academic discussion and exercise in futility. All the panelists including the women are regulars and like to hear their own voices and views being aired. But what is really required is not debate and discussion, but education and awareness of the women's rights in Islam and abuse or misuse thereof. For firstly marriage is a contract in Islam and a complete code to include the terms and conditions governing the marriage and divorce. But it is seen that dowry which is unIslamic and major residual leftover factor of conversion of some from Hindus is a major issue in the talaaqs. The procedure for registering their marriages is also an options available in law to them. Simply put saying 3 talaaqs in one sitting and without following the procedure for reconcilation in the presence of witnesses is not permitted nor valid. Providing for punishment of offenders under Sharia would have a drastic effect and curb violation of the law.

these women are talking rubbish about Qur'an n Islam.. first thing is that in Islam women should be in hijab no men can see her single nail. n yes in our Islam there are no talak will happen like this. it will be done in 3 months with the 4-4 witness from husband and wife. we don't allow any other caste to interfere in our religion plss.. Apna Apna dekho Islam is Best..
