You know they always say when you suffer mental illness you should talk to your friends tell them how you feel etc. From experience i would say people in general tend to back away from mental illness almost as if they will catch it or something. And, the old attitude of just toughen up and it will go away still exists. Oprah is right , it's all about getting rid of the stigma. It's very common for people at various times in their lives to experience tough times and needs understanding instead of shunning.

A few months ago Gayle King did an interview with a group of people with depression problems, she did excellent job. Her demeanor & approach, her questions & ton of voice, her altitude in general was perfect. As Some who struggle with depression on daily basis appreciated her. I am dealing with my conflicted feelings on Oprah's handling of the MJ sex accusation claims by the two accusers... Oprah's HBO TV special clearly lacked journalistic balance.....and no matter how salacious and inflammatory anyone's claims are, you have to have balance to be credible, which is impossible because MJ is dead. I've loved Oprah for many years.. ....but now when I hear her speaking on Meghan Markle's 'character' in the wake of her MJ TV special, I can't help but realize she does not even know Meghan that well...so how can she 'vouch' for her? However with MJ, she seemed so willing to abandon fairness to his legacy. For the record, I think we all can see MJ was also known as a loving and kind person. However, Oprah's TV special does not square the accuser's intergrity with that of Michael's own...by naming her TV special 'After Neverland' and stacking her audience with sex abuse survivors it clearly was slanted.... intentionally. To Oprah: seems you should address the imbalance around your handling of the MJ claims.

My Big Mama (Eva Mae Jacobs) was the size of @Oprah her entire life, my Big Mama was as black (Hue) as @Oprah, and my Big Mama was as bad as @Oprah thinks she is… The difference is My Big Mama was born (1926) in the very racist south (NC) during the time when Black people (@GullahGeechee) were not given the opportunity to advance based on their own abilities because of the color of their skin but were oppressed (Systematically kept in poverty) severely everyday of their lives as laborers to white people... My Big Mama was sexually assaulted by lots of people all her young adult life before she met my dad (Angus F. Jacobs - a WWI Veteran) in the mid 50s; then her got better and they had me and my three siblings... In the mid 60s my dad died (he was 66 and I was 7) and the white men came and took our house and threatened to beat my Big Mama with a stick he picked up off the ground... Through all that we as a family went through nothing that @Oprah talks about makes me think it would have worked because @Oprah lives in this false reality that she made herself but true be told (she probably doesn't want the truth told)... We believed and relied on our faith in Jesus to see us through and I know a lot more people who can testify that it wasn’t @Oprah or anyone of the sort that got them through the tough time but it was their faith in Jesus... @Oprah acts like there are not any external forces that effects the systematically oppressed black people on a daily basis even until today… From @Oprah viewpoint it appears that she doesn’t acknowledge the effects PTSD of Slavery on Black people in America because she slid through a seam that has allowed her to make money… The same white people that allowed her to make that money could turn against her and begin to treat her like they did Bill Cosby in her 80s… @Oprah is so Starving to be in the Meghan Markle orbit if the truth be told Duke and Dutchess of Sussex is teaming up with her so she can be an unexpecting taxi for Mama Markle back and forth from California...
