On this “Master Instructor Roundtable,” hosts, and NASM Master Instructors, Marty Miller, and Wendy Batts, revisit Phase 1 of the NASM OPT Model: Stabilization Endurance.
A common misconception is that because it’s the first phase, it must be easy and not beneficial-which couldn’t be further from the truth! Phase 1 is critical to developing and building the foundation required to optimize strength, power, and resilience. Due to the recommended training variables, it can be used for a variety of different training goals.
This episode will include a client scenario, along with an example program to help those new to the OPT Model, or those looking for a refresher.

This is a great refresher for current trainers, and a very good way to introduce new trainers to Phase 1 of the NASM OPT model. I am wondering, is there a place to get a reference of the example program shown on the slides? It was a little hard to read when I tried snapping a picture, I think its a great example of how you broke down the process of assigning exercises for this client, and I would love to be able to reference it again.

I was doing squat jumps in the gym for a long time but no one told me i was doing it wrong. I could hear and feel my legs landing very hard on the ground and/or the box. Now how do i get my self to land softer? How do i fix that?
