Yeah makes sense to me. Also feel that deck has been meta way before the new Black Maria, and the others that followed after him. He is legitimately the problem to me. Cause it makes no sense taking away good cards for lesser decks to hit one deck/leader who probably will still be top after a few of said hits. Just cut the middle man and not every other decks tool to succeed. Quite a few rouge and old decks a like using some of these cards have been able to pop out and show folks. Hoping bandai is smart enough to Cut the middle man.

I think it’s a dangerous precedent to just keep banning leaders when they become the best deck. Saka had too many tools and found it super consistently. Law isn’t as consistent bc of draws but has a very high ceiling.

@DeezTCG saka was still prone to bricking and based on tourney data it's arguable that rp law is even more consistent at handling Swiss rounds given they have consistently pit 10+ in top 16 at eastern CS tourneys If anything the precedent is already set that if the deck is preforming >= Saka then it will be handled like they did for him.

I think there’s plenty of 4 drops that help but also plenty that don’t do anything for the deck. Bandai just likes to break games

The definitely can print cards around it. Leader locking some cards like black maria prevent larger issues in decks that can abuse that.

@@DeezTCG Yea but they either print every single new card with a leader lock to avoid Law abusing it, or they get rid of the actual problem, which is Law being able to abuse it. And Limiting things like kid and killer and Reiju to 2 just because Law can abuse it makes literally no sense at all. Just get rid of Law so that Reiju leader can still play it. As far as erratas go, they don't really errata for balance in this game, only for translation issues.

Banning a Leader goes against the core aspect of the game. It’s lazy and takes no action on actually solving the issue with the game.

@@smkeran17 banning cards is a natural part of a TCG. Wtfym? I would rather a leader be banned than the supporting card being banned because the supporting cards help the other leaders. If one leader is this oppressive then it should be banned no questions asked. Plus you have to think about it on a competitive level, no one wants to see R/P Law mirrors all day. It is happening in OP07 and it happens all the time in OP08. No one wants to watch it happen in OP09. Plus banning cards to nerf a leader is just a bandaid until another broken card comes out that breaks the leader and we are back to square 1.

@@AnimeALX so, with your fucked logic, if you sit down in front of an RP Law that plays all commons you’ll lose. You dont lose to the leader, you lose to the 50 cards inside the deck that your opponent plays. Second, if you start banning cards inside the 50, you need to do it in a way that you predict what could happen next, which is an easy guess. If black gets hit, blue green and red, the swarming colors will see a surge, so you inspect those colors and make a decision accordingly, if Moria gets put on 1 you also put 8c Kid or 9c Zoro on 1. Banning a leader, with the core idea of the game being, you make a deck based on the restrictions that your leader, the cornerstone of the deck applies to you, simply means that instead of spending time and effort to review the current environment, you simply opt for the easy option which is, just ban the deck. Black is still an issue with how 8c Moria dominates with its abusive board wipe combo chains, green is doing the same old lock out style gameplay that it used during set 2-4, yellow is no brain all gain. People like you are the reason why games fail on both locals and competitive levels. Instead of thinking and play-testing a deck to go up against the issue, you just complain and cry about it. Played against RP Law so many times, both set 7 and 8 variants, is it difficult? Yes. Is it impossible? Not if you know what to play into the meta scene. Just, do yourself a favour, and cope a little, touch some grass. It’ll do you some good.

I am in law Copium full blast. But that my personal bias. I love the leader and a lot of the cards inside the deck. But bc it became too oppressive in op08 it has a shot to get a lot of cards that I love banned

No the leader is literally the problem. Think about it all these cards can find a new home and be fun cards again if you ban a leader with a 3 for 1 ability...

Gecko Moria is a tough one, as cracked as it is it will seriously hit any moon black leader, maybe errata it to thriller bark pirate targets. Buff for perona in the Mets if not Moria

I understand your viewpoint of not wanting to ban law, he's my favorite character in the entire show, butttt I digress I think he should be banned because if they don't ban him then he will be a SERIOUS problem moving forward as ALL the purple characters and red characters would HAVE to be leader locked enough wouldn't support any of their mono color leaders which would make it much more diverse and then bandai wouldn't make money. So for them to continue to make profit they should just ban law.

Yes I recognize law is the most dominant deck in the format. Which is why they are issuing bans/restrictions. I don’t think killing the leader fixes the problem, I just think it changes the problem if that happens

They have done errata’s on their other games such as dragon ball masters, and they have also recently corrected a promo (Hody & Hyouzou) since the tribe on the bottom were wrong.

@DeezTCG if wording is incorrect or missing like that then yes sure, but you are saying they will add wording on the card that was never originally intended to justify keeping a broken leader in the game just ban the broken leader / broken cards. No reason to have my card be randomly now leader locked...

Ban 8c Moria.

I think they already had law in mind when they did foxy pirates but just forgot to do that in 08. Plus Bonney just won a recent championship

Foxy pirates ended up as a fun off meta. And they don’t want to risk the next Worlds ending up like the last one with the final 4 being the same deck so I feel like they are going to be harsh. Bonney is 1 win with the rest all being Law and Lucci.

I don’t disagree. I hope it isn’t an outright ban. But I think it’s easier for them to just ban and release an updated version. But what do I know? I have no inside information and I could be 100% wrong.

Nobody knows what the ban list ACTUALLY is. They announced they are doing bans so I speculated what might get hit 👍🏽
