Oops I forgot to tell you the magnification of the Sniper brand scope it’s a 1 to 5 x 24 it’s illuminated and they’re actually really nice I was impressed

Are you talking about Texas Precision Optics, with a line of scopes called Sniper Scopes?

I wonder if these are the same guys that produce Texas Silencers.

I really love my primary arms 1 to 6 and 1- 8 LPOV scopes. And I have tried a new one that is marketed or sold here in Texas. It’s called a sniper brand. They are in expensive not completely cheap. But I have watched some videos where the reviewer‘s have beat the hell out of these scopes and they hold zero they don’t come apart. So I have to and I’m trying them out and Wow, The glass is really clear, they hold zero, and they work really well for a $200 or less scope. Somewhere between $150-$220. And since I can’t find the Primary Arms scopes this is a good alternative.

My first rifle was a 10/22, I don't plan on putting a scope on it any time soon. I got a set of tech sights for it, huge improvement over the standard irons. I find I spend a lot more time concentrating on having the proper form. You have the get the front post the same position every time. I can shoot MOA groups at 50 yards(with a bipod) I get damn close shooting offhand as well.

I have a ruger gunsite scout and i have both long eye and regular scopes. I went back to long eye relief...barrel is short and its not great or needed for long shots. I love the fast target acquisition. For my AR’s my back up irons either line up for co-witness in red dot. Or if scoped they are the off set 45° ones.

The long eye relief IS quick, ain't it?

@@SocialRegressive extremely. I put down a doe on the run as i was taking off my hunting suit due to sweating in unexpected hot weather, gun was laying on my back pack , im standing in my long johns in a cornfield and she came running at 125/135 yds. , grabbed the gun racked a round and with both eyes open ...dropped her.

I think you'd be surprised by the military studies done on the durability of various red dots and iron sights. Long story short is the dots held zero better than the irons (keep in mind these were issued stuff like comp M4s and T-2s on really solid mounts so definitely not budget optics).

I have scopes on my 308 rifles. But my 5.56 is just more comfortable with the iron sights. My field of view is better. The accuracy is surgical. If I can see it, I will hit it.
