What happens to the lead after the sequence of let’s say 3 is over ? Does the lead need to be moved or is it automatically removed from the sequence and put somewhere else?, if so where? should we retarget those leads at a later time, if so how far out?

That's a great question, so the lead that finishes all steps gets the status "completed". If you want to retarget those leads, you can simply filter the leads from a campaign with a specific status, e.g. "completed, no reply" and move them to a different campaign. You can contact them again after some time, it depends on your offer, but a few weeks or a month, would be enough.
