I worked a contract at a facility where the CT tech prayed to God I'd find the appY on these little kids because he flat out hated to make the kids undergo endure a BE CT for a non visualized appy exam. Never let him down.
That pic of the appendicecal artery is a great example of when the appy hypertrophs the artery doesn't expand lengthen as much as the appendix so the artery is usually on the inside of the curve. Would be nice to have a lecture on equivocal appendicitis exam, obvious pos or negative exams are all fine and dandy. Find some supportive appendicitis examples.
I’ve had lower right quadrant pain for over a month, a CT scan showed normal but it won’t go away and no one can view my appendix on an ultrasound and I have heart issues and so the surgeon doesn’t want to do exploratory surgery or anything unless there’s proof and I’ve been so scared. I wish we had a tech as good as you, have you heard of chronic appendicitis that lasts for months? It could be something else I’ve been told but still unsure what’s going on
