Great video. Used this tips for VR, worked like a charm. Just increased slightly the graphics settings on xplane and It looks amazing without stuttering....thanks
Thanks so much for your awesome video! Straight to the point, no crazy music, and extremely helpful. I knew my RTX2060 GPU could give me more than my barely good 30 fps. After following your tips it went to 60 fps which I never had before even after following many other tweaks. These are the most effective. Happy to give my thumbs up, subscribe, and follow. Awesome job. Thanks for sharing such a great knowledge to all of us. Keep up with your awesome job. Best regards.
I recently upgraded my GPU from 1070TI to an RTX3080. While my frame rates improved, I experienced very heavy stutters, often for no reason whatsoever, just sitting on the ground. My frames would drop from 50 or 60, down to the teens. This would happen in all my sims (XP11, XP12 and MSFS2020), and had been driving me crazy as I could not find a specific reason for it. Thanks to your video, I went to change my power plan to Ultimate Performance and discovered that Norton Utilities had installed it's own plan? I changed it to what you suggested and now my frame rates have been consistent and performance smooth as butter. If it weren't for your video, I would never been prompted to go look there. Thank you so much for sharing, and great job on the video. I have now subscribed and look forward to new ones. 😀
Damn, this tutorial is lit my friend. It helped a lot, even though I have a higher-end PC, this made magic to X-Plane 11, thank you :) Also, you gained a subscriber, I watched few more of your content and I like it a lot. Keep it up.
thank you so much brother ! this really helped me. my frame rates are more consistent and the graphics look unreal too edit: you also gained a new sub!!
Hello, your video was really useful -- thank you. Can I suggest something? Can you try next time not to constantly say "you guys", "ok guys", and "just like that", in about every sentence. It will improve your speech flow a lot. Otherwise, good job.
There are a lot of optimisation video's out there my friend, but this is the one I keep coming back to whenever I want to recheck my settings after updating the GPU driver. Thanks for a great tutorial ... my 'thumb up' takes you to 695.. a thousand soon!
Good video. So 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. are mostly CPU Governor settings. How fast/slow your CPU ramps to turbo, then slows to idle, if it idles and at what clock speed. The nvidia control panel setting you referenced controls the GPU Governor and it's very similar in function. Mine was on max performance anyway. On your desktop, if 'ultimate performance' made any real difference for you-your CPU is either very old or its chipset drivers may be poorly tuned. Either way, Windows ramps it based on load, so. If you REALLY want to tweak, as always-the place to do it is in the games settings. You can trade quality for FPS, or trade FPS for quality. Want max quality and high FPS? That's what good GPUs are for. This game is now old enough even a GTX 1650 will run it quite well now. 16gb of ram is a must, 4GB of VRAM is still ok (at 1080p!!!) Crank your anti-aliasing settings. 4x or 4x+2xfxaa is ok. restart game after changes. that's where you'll see real differences. Keep running programs while gaming to a minimum-and don't bother if you only have 8gb of ram. iGPUs may be ok, but definitely not with 8gb of ram. if you have a dgpu+8gb, it might be playable.
Hey MaxAlex, I wanna thank you sincerely for this video. This is my laptop spec: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.90 GHz; 16G Ram; Nvidia Geforce 940MX on a 512 SSD drive; as you can see a low-spec laptop.. Yet after I have followed your tips and advise I now get above 35fpm and up on average. Previously I struggled to get even a constant 25fpm.. My graphics settings now are - Visual and Textures - High; World Objects - High with Vulkan driver; everything else - Low. So thank you very much, brilliant video. Subscribe butten smashed; of course 🙏👌
used to get 19 fps with scenery and stuff so i was unable to comfrtably fly on vatsim (it disconects under 20fps) no i go from 23-50fps with scenery and everything and still looks good! thank you very much made it very usefull
Thanks a lot for putting all these information together! There is one more thing: deleting X-Planes shadercache folder from time to time helps as well regarding performance. So, regarding Nvidia Control Panel, you do not recommend to create an individual setting for xplane.exe only? In your video you‘re showing making global settings in control panel.
needed files are the yellow ones and temp ones are the white ones? I cant stay connected to VATSIM because my fps is below 20 and my first flight worked but was laggier idk how that works. Just want to know which is temp or needed files for the first step.
i have a i7-7500 cpu @2.7GHz and intel hd graphics 620/ Geforce 940MX what is the best settings to run xp11? (10-30fps at high visual quality, texture quality medium, objects low, anisotropic 1x, antialiasing 2x
Ironically I'm unable to make out some of the choices on the Nvidia 3D settings. I've taken a screen shot of your video, enlarged it but to no avail. Is there a way I can get your recommendations in a more readable format? Thanks in advance. Excellent presentation BTW.
ok, so the 3d settings depends on your graphics card. mine is probably a little different than yours. Try making yours look as similar to mine as possible.
@@rdad228 I used pretty much every setting i could to get better fps all in this video. I am not a expert at the Nvidia control panel but I did find the best settings for fps and used them in this video. I understand that our Nvidia control panel settings are not the same. Mabye try looking into a video that explains good 3d settings just for the exact card you use. mine is a gtx 1060 and i am assuming yours is something else. For most people it is the same but not all of them are. thanks for your understanding :)
@Richard Kaye yeah. it is set to 144 and it helps my frames alot. I only fly planes in like xp11 and mfs2020 and play some call of duty so setting that is no big deal because i dont get any more fps than that in all the games I play. so try to set your fps limit to about 20 frames above what you can get.
@@fqeagles21 These settings basically your PC's rendering settings. I put them all on the Max Performance side. My game's color looked better and my fps boosted by about 15. Just to be safe you can take screenshots of your old settings to make sure you like the change. That's how I tested every different setting out to find the best.
@@fqeagles21 It depends on what card. If it is a super new version it is a little different and if it is much older there is also a difference. I am not an expert on these cards but I do know they are not all the same
The only reason why you would have 3d settings only is if you do not have a monitor. With a monitor, you will have all of those other display settings. Also, the display settings do not even matter that much. The 3d settings are what make the difference. You can set the display settings up in windows settings too. If you have any questions just ask ;)
@@patrakarpopatlal7616 No it is not possible I am sorry. The creators do need to make some money. Also If you are looking for a nice airbus plane do not get the flight factor it kills your fps by about 20 and i am not even kidding. Get tollis a319 or a321. These planes are cheaper and much better, especially for your frames.
