@@fjoltnyr2464 Yeah. If Megs was human, he'd probably have half his face completely covered with blood (and the other half dripping heavily), plus his digestive system would be still barely attaching his head to his body. (Many people would probably throw up at the thought of a guy having his head levered off with an axe, and part of his spine still hanging on, especially that the esophagus would also be attached and may not snap at all. I'm sorry if I made any of you sick). But overall, if this was humans fighting each other instead of extraterrestrial robots, then it would definitely be beyond Rated R or even X.
@RebelPlanet1 tbh i saw the trailers and it didn't pique my interest so i think I'll wait maybe I'll end uo watching it in the future. Too bad since zack is one of my fav directors
Imagine William used Optimus violence, he's going to stab Susie in the face and neck, ripped Gabriel's head with axe, punched Fritz's abdomen so hard and ripped Fritz's eyes aggressively, he cuts Jeremy's fingers his shoulder impaled by knife and ripped his face and crushed his heart, And lastly Cassidy got her head ripped in half by William
He gave some particularly brutal deaths to his enemies. He tore The Fallen's face off before ripping his spark out and crushing it before The Fallen's eyes, he punched a chunk out of Shockwave's side before ripping his eye out, and dug an axe into Megatron's head before ripping it off.
Exactly. He’s an autobot. If there’s peace involved he will most likely take it. Until they go back on their word or decide to use underhanded tactics. Well it’s fair game in LOVE and WAR.
*then uses a blade sticking out of The Fallen's neck to skin his face off *the grabs TF as he stumbles away and punches him through the chest *then says as TF's body is spraying blood from both his face and chest, slowly falling to the ground dead "I rise, you fall" 😂😂
@@hiveknight7416 And this touching me but also makes me laugh. Let's agree that this suit with Optimus in the bayverse too? Seriously! Useless Side fact: I've become a fan of this franchise in 2021 :')
*proceeds to use the spear impaled in his neck to skin off his face, and punch him through the chest* "I rise, you fall" So, wasn't he supposed to be some librarian that likes pace?
It's a war and he's a leader, how tf would it looks to his soldiers if he was like "damn killing people is so sad why can't we all just be friends" like every other "hero" in movies and games. Plus in the heat of battle against the enemies who want to rip apart your dearest friends and enslave humanity I'd be more surprised if prime wasn't like "fuck you imma beat you to a pulp". If there's one thing they did right in these movies (at least the early ones) they made prime a fucking force to be reckoned with. He takes on Megatron, starscream and the other dude in a 3v1, reduces one to begging for mercy, rips starscreams arm off and heavily wounds Megatron all while protecting Sam.
@@Defnotdiablo How would it look to his soldiers? It'd probably make Optimus look, dare I say, inspiring? Like someone who doesn't simply want to destroy the enemy and win the win, but end conflict for his people? This Optimus is more like Kratos. But I guess for the world that this series portrays, and the characters they have, I think making Optimus just a tad too blood thirsty is the best case scenario
@Bradley Sanders Seems like stories always get Prime's character wrong. In the new Netflix series he is exactly the weak leader you described, who is unwilling to make difficult decisions or take life, thus causing far more suffering through how ineffective he is (this is my least favorite way he can be written). In the Baymovies he is an unrelenting slaughter machine and the plot doesn't give him enough out-of-battle time to show him being a good leader, so we just have to take the story's word for it that he's a good guy. I disagree with you in how violent he is, he seems to relish the killing too much, but most of that is just an issue with lacking other story elements, and I'd rather him be too violent than not violent enough tbh. There need to be more well written transformers media, like the IDW comics, where Optimus is an even tempered leader who is very badass in battle, but he is also aware that he is fallable and tries to remove himself from becoming an idol, only to be caught in the esteem the Autobots hold for him. He's a powerful paragon hero who has to be tempered, kind of like Superman; he cant relish killing too much, but he also has to stick to have strong conviction and principles. Those comics did an amazing job of showing how he can step up and lead, but when he doesn't temper himself from his ego and desire for "freedom" he becomes what Megatron accuses him of being, which is a sanctimonious warmonger.
Or you know controversial war crime esque deaths, such as killing a surrendered enemy, or surrendering but actually not doing so, using artillery bombing on civilian areas, everytime i rewatch transformers i get reminded of what war crimes are and why we have them
@@Mezha07 he never accepted any surrenders from them, so none of what he did during a war (you know, the thing where you kill your enemies) are considered a crime...maybe brush up on your intelligence a bit
You know, thinking back, that was the thing that probably turned him into a walking talking justification for the existence of a Cybertronian equivalent of the Geneva Convention
The best thing about Optimus is that when the Cybertronian war finally came to an end, they offered him leadership and he turned it down. He said "I am a war lord, call me if you need a warrior." He may be a murdering bastard, but he has integrity.
The only actual murder he committed was against Sentinel after he was beat already. Every other kill was an enemy combatant who had weapons in hand and was trying to kill him back. Hardly a murderous maniac. Sentinel's crime is like your father deciding to kill you, your friends, and wife and burn down your hometown and enslave its people...the level of betrayal Sentinel committed was pretty severe...so again hardly a "maniac", while some may say Optimus wasn't justified, he at least had a pretty normal motive. Also remember that at this point in time Cybertron has no government to turn war criminals over to for judgement. So the only judgement Sentinel was going to get was a battle field judgement. This still isn't like killing some defenseless civilian. This is an enemy combatant that moments ago was trying to kill you and enslave earth.
Starscream nonchalantly getting folded in every interaction he has with Optimus is almost as funny as the disrespect he gets from his allies on the daily
Really? I watched this and my eyes bleed the CGI is so poorly made that it looks like the game from 2005 and it looks very fake and low quality - check out e.g. 1:30 it looks more like game than the movie - The Terminator from 1984 was more believable
@@2goober4u Thanks for constructive discussion and dialogue, your arguments are so reasonable that I will even maybe change my mind and consider the CGI the best in the world.
@2goober4u yeah, you deserve more comments of criticism than the other guy, this man clearly has plenty of words to say, and the best you can reply with is "hush nerd"? Really man? Nerd is barely even an insult nowadays, and it doesnt even make sense in this context, be a better bastard dude, this is the internet, be creative, you have plenty of time.
One of the most overlooked things is that, in that 3v1 in the forest, Prime casually rips Starscreams arm off and it’s fucking hilarious. No epic slow mo, the movie’s like “oh yeah he just does that”
With a friggin KARATE CHOP no less!! He already ejected that sword to Grindor’s leg, so it’s like “Welp, guess I’m down to pure fury and momentum, so…full send”
Didn't we all watch him kill Megatron and semtinal and the fallan and even Unicron and lockdown and quintessa, all of whom have committed mass genocide, disregard life that isn't like there's,owned slaves, plotted to get slaves of earth, kill defenseless autobots for fun and ofcourse killed living breathing thinking beings becuase their "lesser" then them? That's racism at its finest and yet Optimus who simply killed a whole host of bad decepticons committed the most war crimes in 1 scene? Btw ik it's a joke but for real tho consider it
And heads up every plot so far was about how can we kill off the humans the fastest? Also when I say kill autobots I do mean the execution scene and Megatron's spear scene and even some other scenes but for the sake of being a transformer fan I will say that it's perfectly in character and thus should be normal 😀
Fun fact: In the prequel novel Ghosts of Yesterday: Before the events of the first movie the Decepticons: Blackout, Barricade, Bonecrusher, and Starscream all have a conversation and point out and acknowledge that Optimus is not weak and is a formidable opponent and some of them mention that fighting him one on one would mean certain death. They all respect and fear him because they have seen his skill as a warrior and know he is the biggest threat the Decepticons faced. But they still want the honor of killing him to win favor amongst the other Decepticons and with Megatron which would earn them a higher status within their ranks. Which is why Bonecrusher was so eager to fight Prime in the first movie but it is also what lead to his inevitable death.
Funny I remember a comic where Barricade told Bonecrusher to deal with Prime cause he still had a score to settle with Bee. And Bonecrusher simply said "sure whatever."
@@MAYITO1107 comic is different from the novel I suppose. I think this book is decanonized and retconned now since Optimus and The Autobots arrive in the Ark in the book but in the third movie the Ark was being used by Sentinel Prime. The book is called Ghosts of yesterday. It’s a good read and highly recommend
@@Kingofmenaces they described his personality in the book as well. But they also added in the book how each of them wanted the honor of killing Optimus Prime for themselves. Which can also explain why he charged at Optimus.
@user-ki8il7vk9d Optimus was leading Megatron away from the city, while Bumblebee went to get Leo and Mikaela away from the fight and then gather reinforcements.
He tore jazz in half in the first movie... and advocates for the extinction and enslavement of humanity. You understand that EVEN IN REVENGE OF THE FALLEN he held down Sam so he could get deepthroated by a robot worm right?
I like how with every film Optimus got progressively more aggressive with his enemies. It gives off this vibe that over time, every time the decepticons came back and humans betrayed him, he had less and less patience for them and slowly lost his way as an honorable fighter. It's probably not what was intended but I'd like to think it was.
I mean he’s still honorable fighter he just fucks you up badly lol. Unlike megatron he a bitch and had to 3v1 to take him down. Although megatron can probably do a good 1v1 against optimus still.
Finally! People that understand the reason for his brutality. I 100% think his brutality towards the Decepticons is justified when you see what he’s been through
Fun Fact: In the novel version of Dark Of The Moon, when Megatron offered the truce, Prime actually accepted the truce instead of killing Megatron as we saw. Still glad we saw Prime kick ass with one hand.
@@thesaviorofsouls5210 in leader mode he is indeed noble and heroic, most of the time inspiring even. Whole different things when in combat mode, he becomes a maniac lmao
That's why Barricade tells our character in the DS game not to engage or underestimate Prime. Plus chances are Barry willingly fled the highway chase in the first movie just so he doesn't fight Prime.
They show how powerful he is though, fighting 3 decepticons WHILE guarding a human one of which is MEGATRON. and he absolutely DEMOLISHED them. till they CHEATED XD (yes I know Decepticon)
I love how he got the vibe of an inspiring superhero like superman or batman. And then he has a passion for removing people's heads with his bare hands.
@@godzillazfriction the entire Nolan trilogy focuses on Bruce Wayne using Batman to inspire Gotham to fight against criminals and corruption government.
Love the part where Megatron says "Who would you be without me?" Like he's trying to bait Optimus into having a philosophical dialogue to buy time, but Optimus doesn't take it at all
Fun fact:Optimus everytime he fights he enables his battle mask to stop his mouth from hurting his enemies emotions Note: Welp,I didn’t think that comment would be this popular XD
Actually that's not true because in the first movie when he had the "Humans don't deserve to live" argument with Megatron you can clearly see him speak with his battle mask on when he said "They deserve to choose for themselves"
Of course he knows talking is useless, he's had literally a million years to try, and he has tried, but the Decepticons have made it abundantly clear that they don't want to, so now that there's a planet with another sapient species that has nothing to do with their war involved, he's done trying. Freedom is the right of all sentient beings, and the Decepticons are free to die.
Talking is not useless at all, in fact some of the decepticons end up deserting, but to SOME devepticons, you just can't talk sense. Especially Shockwave
There are three things wise men fear, two of which are 'natural phenomenon', a night with no moon, and a storm at sea. You've already said the most dangerous one.
Optimus Prime understands the Paradox of Tolerance. You cannot tolerate those who are intolerant. No games. You deal with them. Swiftly, relentlessly, mercilessly.
Really amaze me how a lot of people complained that Optimus killed Sentinel without any remorse. Like after all the shits he did to him, simply killing him was a mercy.

@@denisucuuu Why is Sentinel justified, when Ironhide and the autobots literally try to save the human race from Decepticons trying to destroy earth. Of course i would mock the enemies who try to destroy my home
The worst part is that, you can't even blame him for turning into a psychopath. The Decepticons are so cartoonishly evil and murderous it's easy to have no remorse for killing them, and it doesn't help the fact that in later movies he's against Decepticons AND humanity while his brothers were hunted down
What other movies? Transformers ended with the trilogy! At least I like to tell myself that. Age of Extinction just made the humans even more cartoonishly stupid and evil than the decepticons. And the....Human sized transformer guns...just why.
Okay but honestly HOW do you misquote that? Who. WHO. "WHO would you be without me, Prime?"... I'm sorry but my personality dictates that I say something.
@Warlord Megatron why can't he just enjoy the movie. While I agree the bay movies are not faithful to the original (or good except for 1 & 3) they're really entertaining and fun to watch with some epic scenes.
The fact that the decepticon at 0:42 actully pleads “No prime, PLEASE” before Optimus rips his bloody face into two, proves how batshit bonkers prime is
I don't think that's what the Decepticon said. And IF it is, I dont mind Prime killing him. Its like you guys 3v1 him, and then when he beats you on 1v1 just then you are begging for mercy? And lets not forget that Decepticons' actions killed a lot of humans and started a war on Cybertron. So yeah Prime has the right to kill em.
Well when you have to protect a human, earth, and yourself from equally energon thirty psychopaths. Those very same people responsible for your friend/family's deaths. Then you can imagine wanting to rip people's faces off.

I do like that they actually portray Optimus as a soldier, not a superhero. He's in a war, so he has to kill people, even if he doesn't have to like it.
It may be totally against everything he’s supposed to be, but watching and hearing Prime rip apart some Decepticon baddies in IMAX as a kid will forever be a cherished memory.
@James Bivol i think it's about cool robots inspired by cheap plastic toys made to have cool big guns and glowing axes if you think that a big blue robot with glowing axes is supposed to be compared to a real veteran, you're cynical and insane
A true hero Rips someones face off before ripping their heart out. Ripping someones side open before pulling their eye through their throat. Bay transformers are weirdly gory
Everyone gets so caught up in the huggable side of Optimus Prime that they also forget - he's a head of state and military CIC that's fought a war lasting a thousand millennia. He's had to get used to making hard decisions, and knows his enemy well enough to understand there can be peaceful understanding with them. He is the proverbial patient man of whose fury to beware.
He's the Prime; literally the leader of their entire civilization and tasked as not only with that but considered the physical embodiment of their deity, Primus (the Matrix is a piece of Primus's spark). He has been forced to become a warlord, which was never what he was supposed to be, in a civil war that should not have happened. I think it probably kills him a little every time he kills a Decepticon, because he never forgets that they are all supposed to be one people, one society, and a Prime is not supposed to kill.
Here’s a hidden fact I found out while watching rotf & dotm in the forest battle when he’s fighting all three decepticons he throws his right sword. At grindors leg detaching it from his arm and in dotm if you look really closely whenever he uses it, he now holds it in his hand, instead of it, being embedded into his arm. His sword in his left arm, though remains embedded whenever he uses it, since he never detached it.
This portrayal of Prime as a "take no prisoners" kinda brawler protagonist made me like him. Let's be honest, even if you're a die-hard Decepticon fan, you gotta love Prime, if only for a moment.
I still think how he killed the Fallen is the most brutal. Not even the face ripping bit. But he PUNCHED HIS SPARK OUT AND CRUSHED IT. That's the equivalent of a human punching into someone's chest and ripping out their heart. That's *hard core*, man
"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings and I'm going to exercise my Freedom to free the living s**t out of you." - Optimus Homicidal Maniac Prime, probably
I mean, by this point, Optimus Prime has been through so much shit, he probably doesn't see the point in having honor anymore. He's going to match the Decepticons ferocity and show them who he is lmao
I dont think so.i think bayverse optimus prime isnt optimus prime because optimus prime is kinda space jesus i mean he is the chosen one and no matter what happens he always acts wise that is why primus chose him as a prime.bayverse optimus prime isnt like that that guy is bloodthirsty real optimus prime knows when to kill and when he has to kill someone he doesnt make them suffer because optimus always kinda a pacifist

Tell me that optimus is the only brutal character or that the decepticons are less brutal again
What I always found incredible is how he always seems to go somewhat easier on megatron, like he regrets hurting him, remembering that they were once brothers in arms, despite killing him in DSOTM, it took almost 3 entire movies before he said he had enough of it.
When optimus is ripping your head off with an axe you know he’s absolutely DONE with everything. Really like how he doesn’t just kill the enemy, no, he rips their head apart with flaming meat hooks and shit. Insane🔥
And that’s why he’s not a writer. He still acts like it’s still the 80s and he’s doing G1. He’s essentially complaining that Optimus has evolved beyond his G1 version. It’d be like if Adam West complained about The Dark Knight or any other darker depiction of Batman…except he didn’t because Adam West accepted that times are different to when he played the bat…hell he even did voice overs of some of the darker Batman lines. Peter’s a great voice actor but he doesn’t have creative authority over Prime especially in a grittier version of him.
@@Lifeislikeadoughnut Prime can evolve past G1, he just doesn't need to say shit like "give me your face". I'd expect a comically evil serial killer to say that, not the leader of the good guys.
@@SPEEDFRAK (This isn't specifically replying only to you, it's just that you are the most recent person to post on the topic) I can kind of see both sides of this. When I was growing up my main exposure to Transformers was the first live action movie, so that's the Optimus I mostly have nostalgia for, but I also feel like when I look at G1 stuff that the first movie's Optimus is closer to the G1 Optimus than he is to the Optimus of later movies. I feel like the live action Optimus is very interesting as a character but he also isn't really the same Optimus; rather than being an evolution of the character he is more like a reimagining of him, or a different character put into his shoes. Still a very interesting character, but not Optimus. I feel like the best way to enjoy the live action films is to think of all the characters as completely different characters; that's how I came to G1 and it's helped me to enjoy each version a lot better than if I was hoping for the live action to be an adaptation of G1. The new movies seem to be geared more as an adaptation of the original Transformers rather than a reimagining, and that will be interesting too. Idk, I love G1 and the live action movies will always have a place in my heart and I feel like we can appreciate each of them as their own independent works.
@@Lifeislikeadoughnut you don’t realize that Peter based Optimus Prime’s voice on his late brother Larry (who was a marine). When Peter told him he was gonna audition for a hero, Larry told him “be strong enough to be gentle”. Saying such things like “I’LL KILL YOU!” doesn’t sound gentle at all. Even I do agree that Bayverse Optimus’s actions were in 100% justified, these movies should’ve shown violence as a last resort a little bit more clearly so that the audience could understand why Optimus did what he did to those life threatening Decepticons. I’m not here to argue, I’m just here to say something. Edit: I stand corrected. Dark of the Moon DID show Optimus only using violence as a last resort when other options are used up (it’s just that people overlooked it and continued to call him a psychopath). In the scene where Optimus pulls up at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, he doesn’t use violence as his first instinct but instead tries to speak to and reason with Sentinel who sided with the Decepticons but it sadly didn’t work so he was forced to retreat. In the end, Optimus did indeed use violence as a last resort to kill both Megatron and Sentinel because he had enough.
Let’s be honest, we love Optimus prime for many things and one of them is his complete brutality in badassery. That was for Irionhide, you bastard. Sorry they get me in the feels every time.
I will never show sympathy for the Deceptions when it is so obvious that that in this universe, they are scary barbarians and their tactics are horrific. I will never be foolish enough to cry over someone that would literally squash me like a bug given the chance.
And the best part is that the Prime Series and Cybertron Novels tells us that Optimus (Mr. Pax) was a librarian, then at some points he got mildly redpilled enough to working as a politician, and then when Megatron starts the civil war, he somehow got himself in the right place at the right time to turn into a Prime, making him capable on doing some sick stunts like in this video. He was just a huge nerd, doing nerd things, and then he got a total glow up, precisely at the world ending time. A literal Main Anime Character to the core.
Well, considering how many years Optimus has spent fighting, how many of his Cybertronian brethren allied with Decepticons he had to kill and how many comrades of his he saw die, people shouldn't be surprised if something inside Optimus's mind finally snapped and he at some point lost his shit.
@@damienparks3549 nah not at all. He’s not eager to fight, he’s just been fighting so long he’s lost the will for mercy and doesn’t take no shit from the decepticons
To be fair, it pretty easy to assume that Megatron, wasn't there to save Optimus, he just wanted to kill zeda, and once that was done, it's back to business as usual, Optimus was just more proactive.
Someone else in the comments already pointed this out, but I like how Optimus rips off Starscream's arm and proceeds to use said arm as a weapon to beat Starscream, and the movie just glosses past that like it's a normal thing
