Optimus Prime Threezero DLX Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Diecast Unboxing & Review 

I will always have a soft spot for the first trilogy Optimus Prime design, it was my favorite for the longest time before the Bumblebee movie designs, and I definitely prefer this over the Age of Extinction-The Last Knight design bc it looks more angular and armored, adding to the robotic look

I like how the box design resembles the old ROTF toyline packaging.

Fingers crossed for a 2007 Megatron design. That was definitely the best of the original trilogy for me.

This particular piece holds a very special place in my heart. 15 year old me in the cinema watching rotf, that forest scene will always go down as one of the best fights in any transformers media. This is such a beautiful piece.

Bayverse optimus looks awesome no matter what. it just looks cool. I know the bumblebee design is the G1 design but it looks really good too

Between the Bumblebee redesign he got and this, I’m always gonna pick this guy. He’s nostalgic to me and my blend of abstract alien robot design. This is coming from someone that watched tons of G1 as a kid. (The knight version though…ehhh I don’t hate it?)

The Bayverse Optimus Prime's design might not be the most beautiful or accurate but he's special to me because he's the Optimus of my childhood and he will always be the no. 1 for me

Great review as always. For me I’m happy with my bumblebee DLX. He looks closer to what I grew up with. This one does look amazing though. Threezero just keeps knocking it out of the park with all their Transformers

Optimus Prime was sadly flanderized in ROTF - TLK where he became aggressive and violent in an over-the-top and exaggerated way. Prime's portrayal was much better in Transformers (2007) and that's how I remembered Prime as a kid.

As someone who is a huge Transformers fan, I don't necessarily have a favorite design of Optimus Prime, whether it's from the classic animated TV series, the Michael Bay movies, the Transformers video games or the comics. Each design brings something unique and different to the table. Having said that, Threezero definitely knocked it out of the park when it comes to the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime. It looks as if he was pulled straight from the 2009 movie. He definitely has a commanding shelf presence for sure. He has a great sculpt. He's intricately detailed. The paint application is immaculate. There is some nice weathering as well. The figure is impressively articulated and it has a lot of moving parts. I like the accessories that Optimus Prime comes included with. The display stand compliments the piece nicely as a whole. However, as great as the figure is, it was a rather odd choice on Threezero's part to make the chin piece separate, instead of having it sculpted onto the face itself. Other than that, this is an absolutely amazing Optimus Prime figure that has quite an impressive shelf presence. With that aside, thanks once again Justin for another wonderful video. I greatly appreciate the continued hard work. Keep it up!

I personally would love to see Three Zero do the entire line from the first movie. Bumblebee, Optimus, Ironhide, Ratchet, Barricade, Starscream, and Megatron. At least do the Autobots!

If ThreeZero did a repaint with no flames that would actually look really good

Seeing a lot of "Bay Transformers are nostalgic for me" comments here. Wow am I old.

I would't mind if this transformed because I'd most likely keep Optimus's alt mode on display anyway. Awesome figure!

Great coverage of this figure! I can absolutely relate to the transformable figures not quite capturing the proportions of Optimus. I've been thinking about that for a while and was so relieved that someone else felt the same lol. It's also probably the main reason I haven't really grabbed any Optimus yet. It's like all of them look kinda off in some way. So far, the one by Black Apple was the most promising but it turned out to be such a huge letdown. While the re-tooling and engineering of the MPM frame were impressive, they still couldn't fix the proportions and the torso on that thing was laughably huge, giving it that Spongebob proportions LOL. The chest pieces were too big in comparison to his legs and stuck out waaay too much. The thighs were too thin and overall the legs needed to be bulkier. Probably the best part of that version was the back and how they captured the V look of the panels and the rear fenders folding in but the fuel tanks, just like the chest pieces.... were too big. I feel it's really just a problem with the parts scaling/morphing in cgi which obviously just can't happen with a toy but with today's engineering, I'm still hoping we do get a definitive transforming Bayverse Optimus.

I just ordered this figure today. I could have ordered the Last Knight, but the last Knight has no features of a truck and is completely different from all the movies and the original cartoon. I love this Prime, he has features of the previous incarnations and a modern flare !!

Hate the Bay films or love em, their versions of Optimus is absolutely badass!!!

My childhood and introduction to transformers. I understand the complaints about him not being faithful to the g1 design. But as far as I am concerned, this optimus prime to me is like g1 optimus prime to the 1984 kids. This was a must have for me the moment I saw the promo pics last year.

I'd love more designs from Bayverse.

Mine is already on the way. People can say anything about the movie but to me Bay's transformer designs are revolutionary

Hopefully we get more revenge of the fallen figures to go along with this optimus prime such as iron hide, bumblebee, sideswipe, megaton, the fallen, jetfire etc

The Bayverse version of Prime did appear in one of the posters of the Bumblebee Movie where Bee and Charlie were standing in front of the sunset and Optimus was there but there were two versions of the poster where Charlie and Bee were standing in front of the sunset and one of them Optimus Was in it

To be honest that is my top 1 figure for optimus prime they nailed it the design and the proportion of the figure it's like a figure pops you know what I mean honestly I know many collectors out there prefer more of a transforming transformer figure but just what justin said if you want a transformer figure that is realistic that is the one period.

I had one that can transform and had a small button that made him say "I am Optimus prime" but Idk where I could buy one of those again

They are doing an RoTF Megatron soon too. I wish it was the 2007 Megatron because we haven’t gotten a great figure of that design yet and it is by far my favorite live action Megatron.

This has always been one of my most favorite prime as simple it was my first. And one of the best reviews I've seen on this guy with of course your butter like voice Justin. All I want now is that I think it's finally time for 3zero to crack open the tf prime design as that for a life long tf fan is the best optimus prime there is!! Ps. Also a little fun fact is that the bay optimus's face was scand to look like Peter cullen.

I've considered getting this figure in the premium scale in the past. And I previously had the premium scale last knight bumblebee figure. Because this isn't as big as their premium scale, it's got to be easier to pose!

13:15 No they are not the same character the bayverse is a completely different universe than the one started from the Bumblebee movie, The Bumblebee stared a reboot, the proof that we got was Unicron, in the bayverse Unicron was earth, but in the new reboot he is a different entity and there are the maximals as well

I have this version of Optimus Prime and for me it's incredible!! As you said, it's so difficult to choose only one Optimus Prime. Bumblebee version is so cute too, but I had to decided only for one of them. Now, I want to get both of them!!! :)

I will have to disagree with your ending remarks, there's actually a figure that transform and it is the best in the market Commander Thunder Leader by Black Apple and Weijiang, this figure is the closest you can have to Threezero but it can actually transform.

I wonder if Threezero will ever make 2007 or Dark of the Moon variants?

Makes me wish threezero had the license for 6th scale iron men. I th I think they might be able to do a better job than HT or at the very least have a better battery system for light up effects. Competition is always good.

I still think many G1 fans go too far with their hate towards Michael Bay. I mean, he's not exactly a good person, but G1 fans needn't have to be so blatantly resentful to the point where they are victimizing themselves too much and even behaving in a mentally unstable manner; they aren't being any better than Bay. Plus, it wasn't all his fault why the film series went downhill starting from ROTF.

I would love to get my hands on this great DLX model, but I am late to the party it seems ... it's out of stock everywhere! I'm quite sure that another production run of this model, or else even better, another version of Optimus Prime based on Transformers 1 (2007) would be an instant hit. Do you have any news @JustinsCollection on whether they are planning any models (especially Optimus) from the first movie? It seems that there are a handsfull of sellers on ebay selling this Optimus, but the prices are sky rocketing :/ Love your vids, look forward for any news on this!
