thanks, refreshing these basic concepts is also useful. I would suggest to put your face icon on the top right corner as it would not cover the screen data your are usually showing.

Any benefit to only buying an SPX call option? Only downside I see is what you spend? I guess this is no better than guessing which way the market will go?

Buying options are a specific strategy which can make sense but it’s predicated on the details. They’re simpler structures so they make transacting more efficient, provide more direct exposure to a thesis, etc.

Hey , can you give me an honest answer to how much Mathematics training is truly required to clearly understand Vol trading methods ? Just for some background, I am willing to put in as much work as it takes to get there.

Tough to say via a discrete answer - I think an intermediate level is how I’d classify it. Statistics, data plots, differential equations (general understanding), etc.
