There are lots of different options to choose from when considering plantation shutters. Here are a few things to consider before making your choice.
Shutter Materials:
We offer 3 different shutter materials. Solid wood, full poly faux wood shutters and a hybrid wood and poly plantation shutter.
Shutter Styles:
Café shutters only cover half of the window letting light in through the top half of the window..
Single-hung shutters provide complete coverage and allow you to open the top or bottom half of the shutter while keeping the other half closed.
Full-height shutters cover the entire window and are great for doors and windows of all sizes.
Divider Rail or No Divider Rail:
A Divider Rail is a stationary horizontal rail at the desired location giving you the option of leaving all the louvers open or closing a portion of the louvers.
Tilt Rod or Clearview:
A tilt rod is a vertical rod used to tilt the louvers open and closed.
The split tilt rod is when the tilt rod or Clearview strip is cut at a desired location to operate the louvers in independent sections.
Clearview is a hidden tilt rod positioned on the backside of the louvers.
Louver Sizes:
We offer 3 louver sizes:
2 ½, 3 ½, and 4 ½
Now that you know what to consider before purchasing interior shutters, you are prepared to choose the right options for your home.
