@@DoctorSkillz Not really, they take up a lot of spaces, because the way they open horizontally. It's perfectly fine if you have nothing near the wall. But if you want to put a desk against the wall and there is a shutter, it GETS in the way. I've run into this issue multiple times over the years, I gave up on shutters.
What we meant was that the majority of shades don't give you the ability to redirect light like a blind or shutter. There are a couple types of shades that allow you to redirect light, but with all others, as soon as you lift the shade, you get total light.
