I take 2mg a week. 1mg on monday, 1 on Friday. Been on it for over a year, stopped my hairloss although I worry I’ll have to up the dose as I age and my DHT becomes higher.

Me taking 1mg finasteride & 5 mg oral Minoxidil twice a day ( Both Morning and Night ) for past 3 months believing that my hair will thicken and grown back longer. Seen some improvement currently like 20% growth in balded area.

Can you please share your opinion on Nutrafol.

I'm taking fin 1 mg 3 times per week..no visible side effects.. But my estrogen level is much above the normal level.should I be concerned?

I take 0,5mg daily. My guess is that our body prefers consistency.

I've had a Rx for finasteride for about month now & still haven't taken it because of so much confusion on dosing. The landmark Drake et al study showed that just *.005 mg* daily significantly reduce scalp DHT by 61% (not to far off from the higher dosages) but yet didn't lower serum DHT anything close to the higher dosages. Shouldn't the sweet spot be to lower scalp DHT levels as high as possible while not lowering serum DHT levels that much? I'm curious why the experts aren't recommending the .005 mg dose used in the study - seems like the best way to go? Any suggestions?

I am on 2 mg of oral minoxidil & 1 mg of finasteride but I had swelling on my feet so I had to eat oral minoxidil on alternate days instead ..now no more swelling

I can get the 5 mg. finasteride for free from insurance. Would it be a similar dosage to take one 5 mg tablet once every 2 weeks, or cut them in half, and take 2.5 mg. once per week?

Started fin and oral minoxidil for the last 5 months almost..i ve seen a good difference not a perfect result up until now..hope to continue to be effective and regrow as many hair as possible but in the last couple of days i am shedding again in the bath when i touch the hair..is it ok ?? Shedding in the fifth month or even after is it ok??also do u think that five months are not the perfect example to give us the results that we want? Do i have to take them on a consistent daily basis and wait for better results in the next couple of months?

Can woman take finasteride? I have androgenic alopecia and premenopausal but its not allowed in uk for women... so unfair :(
