Craziest part is Georgia didnt score in the first 11 minutes or the last 11 minutes... all 63 points came in a 38 minute span

The only surprising part of this entire game was that UGA didn’t score in the last 11 minutes of the 4th quarter and run it up to a 100+ score game.

This game showed a lot about about the culture of both these teams: FSU found out they weren’t in the CFP and it’s clear they gave up long before this game took place. Georgia found out they weren’t in the CFP and they proved to the world they should’ve been in the conversation.

From this day forward we shall refer to this game as the Orange Bowl Massacre.

As a WVU fan, thank you Georgia for shutting it down in the 4th. 70 is still the record!!

FSU was full of the Christmas spirit, and couldn't stop giving, points, the most ever, yardage, the most ever given up in Orange Bowl history.

Much respect for the Florida players who did show up to play my hat off to them.

I will say this much. I really like Kirby Smart and what he said after the game. This opting out for the portal, something has to be fixed about it. It's destroying college football and the entire bowl season. Instead of getting to see a great game, this is what we got. I honestly believe Georgia is still one of the best four teams in the Country.

Florida State had a good chance to win this game all the way up until kickoff 😭😂

The Back to Back Champs showed up to play, didn't care they got taken out. FSU cried they didn't get picked and everyone opted out of the game. This game truly showed a championship program against one who thought they were.

The craziest part about this score is the fact that Georgia DIDN’T run the score up on FSU. Carson Beck didn’t even touch the football after the 2nd quarter. Kirby even had the 3rd string QB out there to end the game.

This just proves the real controversy was that Georgia was not in the CFP

This wouldve been the perfect opportunity for FSU to prove to everyone they deserved to be in the playoffs yet just took the beating. Georgia and FSU were in the same boat, being ousted from the playoffs yet their mentality was night and day. True culture Georgia seems to have.

I was listening to some FSU fans talk about if they would have had their star QB and all the players who opted out that it would have been a different game. I agree, it would have ended up GA 56, FSU 10.

FSU took the opportunity to show everyone even the committee they made the wrong decision but instead they decided not to play and lost terribly reinforcing everyones thoughts about leaving them out the playoff

If any team got robbed out of the playoffs it was Georgia. That was their point in this beat down. But it’s their fault for somehow losing to that Alabama team. But hey, there’s always the playoff future where in a 12 team playoff they still get in.

Georgia didn't score until there were less than 5 minutes left in the first. They then scored 42 in the next 20 minutes of play time. Simply incredible.

A Tale Of Two Teams: both have great seasons, very deserving of a post season appearance. Both get left out of the playoffs, and rightfully so regardless of your feelings about it. The difference is, one team pouts and complains, while the other team (2 time defending champs) comes to play and show they deserved getting in. Here are the results.

When the pre-bowl rankings came out, I felt that FSU was robbed, and I was actually pulling for them to play well in their bowl game to prove that they deserved to be in the championship. Seeing all their holdouts, I really expected them to be outclassed by GA, but didn't expect THAT much of a blowout. I know some of their holdouts were for transfer portal and NFL draft, but can't help but wonder if a lot of them were just sour grapes. And that's just NO CLASS. GA played for pride. FSU didn't show up.

I personally think its a shame that FSU didn't even try. They could have tried(and failed) to prove to everyone that they deserved the playoffs, but everyone sat out and they got squashed.

Kirby Smart said it right. College football is going to have to figure out what to do to enable teams to have their full arsenal for bowl games to make them more interesting. If 23 fsu players didn't opt out, the stadium would've been 100% full. No one wants to watch backups play in a new years 6 bowl game. Bowls have to be loosing tons of money due to players opting out. I'm so thankful Bo Nix didn't opt out of the Fiesta bowl. I want to see how Liberty matches up with a relevant power 5 team.

Georgia is one of the top 2 teams in the country and should have been in the BCS championship playoff. Next year.

Just goes to show when players and fans quit on their team, this is the result. You become an absolute embarrassment. What a way to end the season Noles. We could have gone 14-0, only the 3rd FSU team ever in history to do so. And instead, our players just quit. Talk about no heart or pride. Just give up. Bravo Georgia! Your players obviously knew this game meant something and showed up to play. Our team was just full of quitters. FSU....bravo to you too for ending this season in an absolute embarrassment to be the laughing stock of college football. Norvell preached all season about facing adversity and when you all faced the biggest obstacle of the year, you quit on everyone. No loyalty. No pride. No heart. Just pure selfishness. FSU needs to go after men that want to play for FSU instead of these little kids that just want $$$ and whine and complain so they quit. Don't expect FSU fans to be there next year. I'm "opting out" too. 😁

Epic beatdown. FSU drew the wrong bowl invitation pairing up with the Dawgs. The Dawgs had a lapse in 2019 Sugar Bowl after a disappointing playoff snub but Kirby learned from that situation and is one of the best motivators in the game. FSU made the committee look right to some degree although UGA should have gotten in over Texas if you want the best 4 teams.

Kirby Smart bent over Mike Norvell and Florida State and didn’t stop until the clock hit 0:00. used his 1st, 2nd, & 3rd stringers and scored on nearly every single possession. Florida State doesn’t have the depth of a top program and today proved it they needed this. the country needed this. the fanbases needed this. the speculations needed to stop. Florida State shouldn’t be in the CFP. stop saying it’s all about the money and the SEC. Michigan would sent Florida State into a world of pain.

I have to say with all of the tact I can muster, that this is the most pathetic and disgraceful example of football sportsmanship in the history of sport. To the FSU players who had the character and fortitude to take the field, we salute you. To the 20 opt outs, you not only let the school who signed you down. You let your teammates down. You had an opportunity to show the nation that all of your angst and disgust was justified, and that the committee got it wrong. But no, you put yourselves first and stayed home. So instead of establishing FSU as a top-tier program you merely validated the fact that you're not there yet and the entire ACC conference is a mid-tier conference. I had to check myself because personally I found it hilarious. But then I stopped to think how your teammates and your fan base and people around the program who actually have character and would have loved to have proven the committee wrong must feel. Then I realized that it was actually very very sad.

My initial CFP picks were Michigan, Washington, Alabama and Georgia. FSU and Texas being the first two teams looking in. The Alabama team Texas beat was much less competitive than the Bama team that ended Georgia’s streak. The metric being that the best four teams get in. Bama at the end of the season being a better team than Texas. FSU had 24 players opt out. Georgia’s second and third string continued to run up the score. Also a bad look that FSU’s top players elected to not compete while Georgias NFL-bound players decided to play and compete even at risk of injury. Georgia may still be the best team in the country. Tonight made that case for them.

Craziest part is that this match up would have happened whether Georgia won the SEC title game or not. Congrats FSU, you guys bailed out the committee and only proved those critics right.. You guys played like sore losers out there.

When FSU threatened to not show up at the Orange Bowl, I thought they were kidding. “Championship” caliber teams should not get this kinda beating regardless of the opt outs.
