I'd be shocked if the street racing charge wasn't dropped seeing they can't prove that he was racing. They can possibly prove speeding and reckless, but not racing.
They already stated and witnessed by the officer that he was going double the speed limit, which is reckless driving in itself and is a misdemeanor but is punishable by jail time
@@marc6919 It was also asked if the officer had his speed on radar, and the officer said NO! That means they have no proof and the officer is just guessing. A guess or hearsay does not hold up in court.
Motorcycles run from the cops all the time this guy showed you respect and stopped and waited for you. He was respectful and apologetic. You could’ve written him for excessive speed and let him go on his way. This is totally ridiculous.
You unbelievable dummy. You weirdos who fall over themselves to give cops a pass on criminal behaviours are hilarious. If this was some random black guy you'd want him put away for life.
I have to agree, the guys who dont take off shouldnt be treated like the ones that do, this guy was being treated/blamed for the other guy taking off theu are taking it all out on him. He never tried to run, was calm and obeyed instructions, and that should be respected. He deserved to be ticketed, but not arrested in my opinion, when guys see the fellas who stop get treated just as bad they are more tempted to just take off. If thats what the police want to avoid, they should treat the guys who stop with at least a bit of respect for accepting their mistakes and owning up to it. Just my opinion.
This is why most bikers run. They know they're going to get nothing but aggression and antagonism and the cop is going to try to charge them with everything he possibly can. Easier to just run, stopping is a favor.
I will never understand why cyclists (whether motorized or pedal) have an entitled sense of driving privileges! There are even PSA's which call for drivers to "watch for motorcycles" but yet there are no PSA's telling these same arrogant cyclists to watch for cars lol. Maybe if you guys weren't speeding down roads, pulling out in front of people and wearing in between vehicles, we wouldn't have special PSA's. I guess you do it because everyone is told to watch for you.
Just stating the obvious but the cop that pulled the bike over also admitted on camera to going 50 in what turned out to be a roadway with a 40 mph speed limit. Hes not exempt from the law while traveling without lights and sirens.
Surely there are often times when that's necessary in order to be able to implement the law, in the UK Police Advanced drivers usually serving in traffic policing are extremely well trained and still so without lights or sirens.
Yeah, that's interesting. I wonder how that'll play out in court. Especially like you said, he wasn't actually responding acting until after they sped past him going 50 mph
@@bobl8195lol how it will play in court? It won't honey. Cops do what they want to, when they feel like it. I'm actually shocked this guy even got in trouble, it must be all for show. They aren't nearly this hard on cops who rape and murder. Truly.
This is the dumbest arrest for “street racing” I’ve ever seen. I seriously doubt someone was street racing with another person on the back of their bike. Sounds like the officer that made the stop was salty he didn’t get both riders and was head hunting. A citation would’ve resolved this entire issue and then some. Poor excuse of discretion.
I disagree I've seen people doing 150+ with a passenger! Maybe if more cops start holding cops accountable they will stop thinking they can get away with whatever they want! Also there is no way he didn't know the other dude! It was probably his partner or at least another blue line gang member!
@@hounddog946 I've heard florida is crazy with the bike laws too! I think I read something saying if they catch you riding a wheelie it's immediately 1 year suspension and 1,000$ fine or sumthn like that. I can't remember the specifics but I know it's way worse than other states! Here in PA they just turn there head when we ride by and not see you
@@22smcrrider96 While on the highway going S in FL, a bunch of cycles sped past us at a high rate, mile down, one was on the ground with ladies sitting with him, none of his buddies were with him.
These guys don't get a pass for that. They are extremely careless and usually do nothing ut complain about everyone else on th road as if they own it! Nah man, justice is served here and it's overdue.
@@frigid4realyea that's the FCKN problem! All cops always get away with whatever TF they do wrong! It's about time one of em does the right thing! It's extremely rare to see!
@@frigid4real okay yeah your right. Not ALL get away with it! But let's be honest a Majority of them do! Why do you think the 1st thing he said was I'm a pig! That's also why he was so shocked when the the arresting officer said turn around and put hands behind back! He definitely expected to get away with this
That is simply not true. 19:42, stop; cruiser stopped on the central lane. 19:50, bike and occupants on the shoulder, 1 cruiser stopped on the right lane, not even close to the shoulder; 2nd cruiser stopped and misaligned on the right lane, far from the shoulder. 20:00, bike and occupants in the parking area, the 2 cruisers remain on the same spot. There is a parking area right beside the stop point, but the cruiser remained blocking two lanes at least for 18 min, 15 more than the strictly needed, while at least 3 cops where just watching doing nothing. So yes, bs.
Its great how they stand there in slience for 2 minutes trying to decide to let him go or take him to jail, can u imagine your life is in the hands of somebody that can make a decision like that,? Crazy
Just ruined this guy's life with no proof. It's all here say.. they didn't have to throw all those charges at him. He didn't run. Hope charges get dropped cause there is no proof
Ruined life? Lol. Not sure you would get fired for some reckless riding, he's obviously or has disputed some of the charges. Some cops don't get fired for domestic or duis. It's zero tolerance, but not sure having fun on bike qualifies. He was respectful, didn't evade, they don't have an accurate speed, he's still working in an administrative setting while his arbitration or they just avoid that and let him back, butnow he got his one strike, sux .. he cant drive like a clown now, so might as well get rid of bike. Fun is over. Also, their union is better than mine.
If the off duty officer had been drinking or truly racing, I could see the reason for an arrest. However I don't understand why the arrest, ticket maybe, arrest, NO! He was cooperating, respectful, showing off for his girl on his new bike, on date night, let the man go.
Bad Arrest? Grossly Overcharging Traffic Infractions? Did Officer have moving or stationary radar? Nope. Did Officer have Laser Speed measuring device? Nope. Did Officer Pace the speed of the motorcycle with a Certified and Calibrated Speedometer in his truck? Nope. Did the officer have Drive Cam video of the motorcycles racing? Nope. Was it raining? Nope. Do people race with a passenger while the other bike does not? Nope. Was the other biker identified and interrogated? Nope. Sooo. We are left with "Judge, he was going really really fast". If I were an Attorney into traffic law I would be happy to take this case Pro Bono. Good Attorney will win this case and the St Cloud Officer will look foolish in the end. How do you prove the Elements Of The Offenses Charged? Just an opinion.
Exactly. "Street Racing"? Where is the other guy? What point were they 'racing' too. How much was in the pot? They didn't even have enough to give him a speeding ticket, let alone get him for 'street racing'.
Youre gonna look really cool when you show up at the police station with a fellow officer and all your peers say, what did he do? And you have to say racing which youre not even sure if he was or not
I ride all the time and with a girl on the back him stopping and being polite he was not racing wheres the proof if he was racing he wouldn't be in this situation he would be long gone with the cop in the dust....
I don’t know that I agree with this arrest. They had no proof of his speed or that he was racing. I believed him when he said he wasn’t. He shouldn’t lose his job over this.
I think the spitting officer here had some sort of powertrip over this, seem a bit over the top, probably mad the other one drove off and let his bitterness out on the motorbike guy
If he was really racing he would have ran no way for him to catch him in a pickup plus they would have to decide who to go after if they split up . All they have on him is speeding with no radar and unsafe lane changes .
@@manifastation11I agree! He’s probably jealous of his bike and his girl. He had even already called for it towed and sounded gutted when the other officer said cancel it someone can come pick it up because he just sounded like he wanted every charge he could give him with zero proof
I'm so glad he stopped and did not endanger his passenger or anyone else. But throwing the book at him will only give more reason for others to run from the police. The rider did the right thing and the officer punished him for it. Go figure!
Nah he did himself the favor here by not running. You run you get felonies ON TOP OF the racing and whatever else they can throw at you. Street racing is dangerous and beyond simple speeding. He needs to answer for it. In all likelihood they are going to work out a deal for him. A reminder. They were splitting lanes, almost hitting other vehicles, and caused those vehicles to swerve out of the way of them. These are people could have kids in the car. There could've been people crossing the road. He deserves what happened here.
Cop or no cop speeding especially with a rider on the back should never happen. But he fully cooperated while the other biker took off. Give him a speeding ticket and a scolding. A little common sense is all it takes.
Did you know the cops arrested a colleague? They arrested a DEPUTY, w/NO EVIDENCE to prove he was "street racing". LEO had a "hunch", a "guess" "no radar" , no "pacing" the driver's SPEED. LEOs "do not" have bodycam / dashcam footage of alleged street racing, reckless driving, splitting lanes, or weaving DANGEROUSLY on his very first time riding his brand new motorcycle... ... to insinuate a crime was afoot, is absurd. This LEO is ADDICTED to bowing down to use false power aka "inflated EGO" over law-abiding citizens. How can LEOs be so ignorant of their OFFICAL duties? *** I believe the phrase is "it's one thing to be ignorant, it's another to open your mouth and let everyone else know it too..." Am I RIGHT or am I WRONG??
Look at all the cops standing around doing nothing. There was no need for that the guy didn't run and he told you the truth and you still arrested him. Saint cloud cops when they pull you over they automatically want to find a reason to search your car why I don't know. Ridiculous
Even this off duty cop should know not to talk to police without lawyer I hope all charges are dropped. Allegedly he was racing allegedly he was going 80-90 mph wow
They gave this rookie no love even though he’s one of their own. With such lack of evidence a lawyer will get this tossed quick. But charging him with street racing is doing to much that’s what got him locked up. And they didn’t even pursue the guy who bounced on them
They really seemed intent on running up the charges and making this as bad as possible for him. He didn't flee, evade, argue or be disrespectful in the slightest. I wonder if they are this aggressive with the average minority they stop. They really seemed to be doing the max possible.
Not fleeing or being disrespectful is not a pass for breaking the law. It is a police officer doing what is clearly public endangerment etc, he deserves twice the charges of an average citizen. He expected to be exempt from prosecution like so many other officers and he got what he deserved instead. Bravo to the St. Cloud LEO's involved.
NOBODY likes seeing these dudes splitting lanes, ra ing, weaving in and out of traffic, etc. The officer was pretty respectful. They saved themselves from getting tased or shot by cooperating. Dude is admitting that he's doing all this stupid ish to impress this girl as if somehow they would be understanding? This type of bike is truly living in their own narcissistic world. The whole of so iety shakes their head in disbelief and disgust, and yet they somehow don't understand what they are doing is wrong.
Wait what? Lol, so you're minimizing the fact that a POLICE OFFICER... who should be above reproach... who was racing on a residential street, is somehow less culpable because he didn't flee and elude... and bc he was nice? Of COURSE he was nice... he knew he f*cked up! And then you're implying that by doing their job and holding him accountable, they were being racist. Actually, the fact that officers had the BALLS to not let one of their own slide, was impressive. That racism bullsh1t is getting old, fast.
I do hope the kid won’t just fold when the D.A. says, “Because you didn’t resist I’m gonna drop this one & that one.” [The 2 charges that mean nothing] His attorney would beat this because the cop can only guess the speed. No radar so what the hell bro. 🤷🏼♂️
They would not have pussyfooted around for Joe Blow…. this kid gloves treatment is nonsense. Equal justice…. it’s NOT hard, treat everyone the same…. shouldn’t need to hear that from a LT.
He should know better of all person, so dangerous and had the girl on his bike too So very stupid he needs to be held accountable for his actions, great job
The cop assumed 80 to 90mph. There is no proof. It's just his word against there's. He has nothing to back himself. He has to show burden of proof. This is insane. They don't even have the other guy to even say he was racing. This could've all been fabricated. See how easy it can be? Nuts bro.
That’s what I was thinking!! Check out that rainbow in the beginning. Also, if everyone stayed this silent after being arrested their lawyers would have a lot more to work with. 😂
It must suck going from the guy that is writing tickets to people to getting a bunch of tickets. Well, I guess he will know what it feels like to be on the other side.
The officer even said he was going 50 and they passed him so the officer was also speeding cause the speed limit is 40 through saint cloud. Plus how many cops cars do you need there I see at least 4. So 2of them didn't even need to be there. Plus they have no radar proof. Saint cloud cops always trying to make it more than it is.
Before he retired I used to have a cop buddy that gave me what was called a “courtesy card” with his name on it. When I would get stopped by a cop I showed the card and the cop would say “Have your buddy call me” and that would be that. I can’t believe they did not let this Deputy go. But he is a jerk for riding like that with a girl on the bike. She must have been scared as hell as opposed to being impressed.
These crotch-rocket riders have balls of steel. The lane splitting is legal in some areas, but it seems beyond dangerous. I’ve been riding for several years and still would never be tempted to try it. I definitely wouldn’t attempt it with another person on my bike. This guy was just reckless riding at that speed with another life on his back that could be killed in an instant. I wouldn’t want him as a partner out on the streets.
Seeing some of the comments posted is another example of how little society is respecting the idea of responsibility that comes with the rights we are so lucky to have in the United States. Truly pathetic.. As an official duty officer he should hold himself to a higher standard not higher privilege
@@stevet4564 True. I believe standards have been lowered and departments have been scraping the bottom of the barrel for recruits. It’s only getting worse. Few want to go into law enforcement with the grief they get from society for just doing their jobs. My city can’t find recruits without a criminal history or without a weed habit. I predict that these candidates will soon be permitted to apply and be sworn in just to fill the void.
Ok the officers arrested the man on the bike for speeding plus what ever else . Why are the officers taking so long at the road side ? If a traffic stop should not last any longer than the time it takes to complete a traffic ticket ; what is the protocol for a arrest ? Why are they different ? Looks like a lot of dead time spent by officers at the traffic stop . If everything is under control why then are so many officers need at a scene if the suspect is in custody in a police vehicle ?
Should he have said that he was racing another bike? You think that would have been a better response, to admit guilt? And basically every female that jumps on the back of a sport bike is doing it for exactly that reason, to be taken on a fun ride which involves speed and danger. Think before you comment...
That's what I'm saying. He,'s gonna do this with his girl on board??That's what he should be locked up for.I'm a rider myself and I admit,I get a little stupid from time to time, but that's me.NEVER with baby girl on board though.
Their time will come when they get caught doing something and another cop puts some BS on them and hems them up. Yea he did wrong but arresting him wasn't the answer... Ego was hurt because one got away, so arrest the one that didn't run...The "ill talk to you when i'm not hot" says way more than just 8 words! Also the SGT telling him all he did then saying but you are the one that witnessed it so... Total dick move IMO
The orange county cop should know not to make a statement to the police because it will not be to his benefit, and no evidence of speed not even pacing and no video the orange county cop should pleaed not guilty and take it to court and have yourself and passenger testify to not racing or speeding and stand your ground on that.all they have is the arresting cop saying he was racing/speeding then watch how fast it gets dropped...
Wasn't this a good show for the cameras. We know nothing is going to come of it. He won't be charged with anything, his pension will be secure and he'll be continued to go out there to generate revenue for his jurisdiction.
Gross cop spit~~~Should be arrested for that! Boss! What's that all about! Must be a cop thing. He wanted to impress his date but could have killed her and others around him! Idiot! I hope he loses his job. Equal treatment for all. No cop should get a second chance. He is held to a higher standard and if we can't hold cops accountable for their actions, how can that be transferred to the public?!
They clearly went to the extreme with this dude. Kind of ridiculous In my opinion! It was like a jurisdiction beef since the cop on the bike was from a different county. Thus almost seems staged, the way it was such overkill.
He should have gone to jail and had the bike impounded, and really has no business riding a bike anymore considering how he was riding. So no, not extreme at all. He's very fortunate it wasn't worse.
I find this really sad for this deputy, but it is his own fault. Hats off to St Cloud officers for having integrity and performing their duties professionally.
He wanted to impress her? By turning her into a casualty of his recklessness? 24 years ago I was walking with my wife in Phoenix to the circle K and I smelled something I have never smelled before and then saw body parts sliding down the middle of the street, no motorcycle just a brain, a finger and a leg. When we got to Circle K we saw a bike jammed under a flatbed truck and blood bones and guts across the entire intersection. One of the most horrible things my wife and I have ever witnessed.
Thank god I left St Cloud. The cops are still just as bored as they were a decade ago. This wont help relations between jurisdictions. Interesting turn of events given they really could've done less.
Also guys we would rather see dash-cam footage of the traffic than your body am footage of your steering wheel!!! That doesn't tell us what is going on!!!
Everyone having a tantrum at the police for arresting him, if the police patted him on the back and let him go with a warning you would be screaming favoritism. The deputy broke the law and he knew straight away he stuffed up.
I feel.sooooo bad for the guy amd the girl, i hope this doesnt ruin their friendship and or possible relationship, and maybe they will be able to go on the date at a later time
Wake up people Policing is a sales game. Sell sell sell, arrest arrest arrest the more sales ( arrests)you make the mor money the company AKA the state and you make
It's no secret there's animosity between certain agencies in that state but that was some straight up BS! Hopefully he gets to return the favor some day 😎
Police officers no how to take cameras off mute them and God knows what else they are doing to it 👍. Never seen a person get arrested and says nothing at all the whole time when in the car.🤔🙄😶😶😶
Good job man. I 'm just kidding! Haha! It was a very good, & very apt collection of videos. Worth the watch, thanks. I liked & am about to subscribe when finished with this comment.
1:55 Highly unprofessional for a cop to be playing that music when he’s on duty, his full attention, eyes and ears should be on his job not relaxing music
Not sure why many of the commentors think this was an unjust arrest. Laws should apply to cops just like they do for average citizens. Wonder how many speeding tickets this deputy has given out!?
He should have gotten a ticket, and MAYBE a telephone call to his commanding officer. This was ignorant of the arresting officers. A good lawyer will get this tossed.
How many police do you need for a simple speeding violation, Why does the police officer have his radio so loud, That is a safety concern, He would never hear an ambulance heading his way but yet here he is arresting another for the same type of thing.
It's a discretionary situation although he didn't use his brain i think arresting him or anyone with a clean record is pointless. Writing him a careless driving ticket and notification to his supervisors would have been enough! I'm not condoning his behavior and understand the possible consequences that could have happened, but i think sometimes it's a teaching moment, not a career wrecking one!
@howlinwulf A McDonald's manager has a career stupid! It's a career, and any young person, including yourself, has not made mistakes! Just like your reply to this matter! Grow up ......
Resident of Orange county FLA and the racing on public streets is very very bad. Day and night. At night they black their cars out turn off all lights on car and speed up and down Narcoosee road at night also using the turn lane to go around traffic.
I can understand speeding and know that he is a law enforcement officer but to charge him with street racing when you know he wasn't you know these officers are really on a power trip it's sad that he is a deputy sheriff and the police department has to show how much of a badass they are to arrest one of their own I'm actually agreeing with everybody else you should give him a speeding ticket and let him go on his way he obviously cooperated and knew he was in the wrong and accepted his wrongdoing by believe me charging him with street racing was totally garbage
He is going to send the bike back. You drive that fast you loose your cop job. No job, no motorcycle payment. This is also why they should not hire young kids to do such a serious job. That girl should be happy she is alive, but she shouldn’t have given up her identity. Now they will force her to testify against him. She doesn’t have to show id as a passenger.
Hey y'all we don't want to see or not see 20 minutes of typing!!! Y'all need to edit & shorten your videos!!! The excess is not necessary!!!! Otherwise we love the videos!!! Y'all be safe out there & God Bless!!! 😀❤️
Well you just told the Orange County Deputy that he was going maybe 80 90 but you don't know that for sure cuz nobody clocked his speed or did anything to see if they could find out what exact speed it was or around what speed it was that he was going but your St Cloud officer even admitted that he was going 50 which is speeding because the sergeant said that the speed limit was 40 mph so kind of a hypocrite to arrest this man even though he was going a lot faster than 50 supposedly but you have no clue what exactly how fast he was going but your own Deputy admitted to speeding because he admitted he was going 50 in a 40 which any other day any other person like a citizen would get a ticket for speeding so you want to be professional and cite your officer for speeding also if you're going to arrested Orange County Deputy for going fast but you're not unsure exactly how fast he was going... sounds kind of shady to me that you charge somebody for racing when you have no clue what the speed limit was that he was going and your officers didn't know for sure if they were racing or not but your own officer admitted that he was speeding cuz the sergeant and said that the speed limit is 40 and the officer is going 50... so you have one for sure admitting that they broke the law and was speeding and you have an exact speed on that but the Orange County Deputy nobody has a clue how fast he was going just knew that he was going faster than the Saint Cloud officer... but no radar, not even he was going maybe plus or minus a few mph of a certain speed oh, you have no mph further the Orange County deputy you... if you want to be fair and enforce Equal justice then you will give your Saint Cloud officer a ticket for speeding because anybody that's going 10 miles over the speed limit that's not a cop will usually get a ticket for that so it's only fair that your officer gets the ticket also, especially if you're going to arrest the Orange County Deputy with no speed limit evidence and no evidence of racing, just in your mind that's what it look like to your officer which is not proof or evidence at all, it is more subjective then anything sergeant... you might want to think long and hard about this arrest... because it's pretty bad when your office right next to committing a crime even if it's just speeding and you have no proof or real evidence of the arrestee committing a crime just subjective evidence
The bad news is he is facing serious charges...the good news is that he qualifies to join the new Metro State! He was even stopped in front of a funeral home!
