Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Uzo Aduba, Kate Mulgrew, Natasha Lyonee, Samira Wiley and Danielle Brooks at The Times Center for an hour long TimesTalk.
Love Uzo's description of how Crazy Eyes is really innocent and really scary at the same time. "A woman with a pacifier in her mouth and a sledgehammer in one hand".
Props to this host. He was great. Lots of times when this cast is interviewed they ask a lot ignorant questions, and focus on "what is like filming.... *lesbian* sex scenes...?" Happy this guy finally gave them the interview that we've all been waiting for!
shady boots yes her unconventional Irish Catholic upbringing believe it or not prepared her for it. Kate says how important laughter was important in the life for her and her family. If fact if you haven’t yet I highly recommend you read her Memoir Born With Teeth, and when it’s released her new Memoir How To Forget
If Laura wasn't straight.. I'm almost positive Taylor would be down to pursue a relationship with her in real life. (Taylor is bisexual) but I mean the chemistry is there. I don't think Jenji Kohan could have picked anyone better to play their roles so flawlessly the way They do.
You can tell how happy the interviewer is and that he really does love the show and really is interested in the ladies and how they feel about the show. Major props to him
also I love this cast! I loved Laura on T70S, Natasha on American Pie & Taryn on crossroads, they and Jason Biggs are the only ones I knew going in lol
I've always loved her voice -- the texture and inflections. That and her mannerisms always remind me of Katharine Hepburn. I even had a girl crush on Mulgrew back in my high school days when Star Trek: Voyager aired. Captain Janeway's a strong, take-charge character. Plenty of great scenes and speeches, too. Give Voyager a go on Netflix if you haven't already.
HeatherReviews recommendation read every book you can get your hands on all the great classics, Shakespeare, the great Greek and Russian Playwrights and become fully immersed in history and philosophy and the world in general and you’re off to a great start
Mariah The Papaya definitely learnt the important life lessons the hard way recommend that you read both her Memoirs Born With Teeth and How To Forget. Kate’s personal story is far more complex and fascinating than anything Hollywood could ever conceive of writing
"The thing that's so great is that it's always grounded in the reality that they do ultimate love each other and that's why all these crazy things happen..." - Laura Prepon (18:15)
29:50 i love the way uzo explains suzanne. definitely one of my favorite actors playing someone who is my favorite character. she makes me love suzanne even more
What that girl said to taylor ❤️ she definitely deserved to hear such an amazing compliment after how great season 4 was, and that Emmy is well deserved.
He was pretty good. Respectful, let them talk without interrupting, didn't ask any questions that struck me as entirely idiotic, not too hyperactive or uninterested. BUT, the forced laughter... Too much forced laughter. CRINGEWORTHY
The Bullshooter That was the most awkward part but he's just such an awkward person as well xD I wonder how he ever got the job as an interviewer... really... it just fascinates me.
What a brilliant interview! The interviewer was so eloquent and had such great questions, and all the ladies are so brilliantly well spoken and intelligent! I'm in love with this.
59:48 ...That girl appreciating taylor...Wow..But Taylor really deserved an emmy.. She has excellently portrayed Piper's character.. It really touched my heart..
They’re all so talented, intelligent and incredible! They’re the inspiration. When they were answering the audience’s questions, some of them made me cry.
Tastee and Poussey besties. And Samira and Danielle besties. Okay now that is what bestie goals is people 35:37 I love Nicky’s smile. Nicky is so perfect for her role. Love her so she’s perfect
Keyser Söze absolutely so underrated in my opinion and despite all her success she still flies under the radar a bit internationally. In fact I was in a room of about 60 people tonight collect ing information to audition for a local production of Wicked in Australia in Bendigo and I believe I’m probably the only one in that room who is truly aware of how awesome Kate is and who has read her memoirs
I spent 10 years and 7 months in Bavarian German prisons. There is something realistic about this series. It sums up the madness of prison. This series is a masterpiece

I hope you somehow recovered your "sanity" and you are having good moments now.
I love all these women. I’m rewatching the show and I’m very late to this interview but I’m glad it’s here. All these women are so beautiful and talented and fun to watch and listen to. Just graceful, intelligent, funny, down to earth people. On a side note, Laura Prepon is just unbearably beautiful and Uzo Aduba is my favorite character. Her portrayal of Suzanne is heart breaking and hilarious and humanizing. I love how she speaks in poetry with so much gesture.
I love this season. There's a lot of growth in every characters that makes perfect sense. And i love that Pipe and Alex are back. I mean ss02 is missing Alex. SS 3 is totally fucked up when Piper got a new gf. This season is the most complete one. Everyone is back. And my new fav character is Caputo looool :D:D:D
I never thought I would be interested in such a show, even though it had a very diverse cast. I began binge watching 2 weeks ago, starting season 7 today & I feel sad because it will be over this weekend.
Just spent the christmas week basically non stop watching full series 1 - 7 , WOW lost for words can't credit it enough - bought the full dvd box set , Credit too them WOW
