So happy to hear our video was helpful to you! Just minutes outside the resort on the main road of 192 you will find Walmart, Target and a lot of other shopping places. At the entrance there is a Publix (grocery store) that is very convenient for stocking up your villa. Have a great time at Orange Lake in September.
Absolutely not, they charge for everything here! Get ready for blazing 1.3 Mbps WiFi Don't leave towels unattended at the pool, $25 charge for each (pool) towel missing from the room.
Awesome review. Where do you have a timeshare in Mexico? Do you like it and how often to you visit? I own at Orange Lake, North Village. Cancun and Nuevo Vallarta are very nice and have beautiful properties.
We currently have a timeshare in the Maya Riviera/Playa del Carmen area. We had two weeks at another resort in Cancun but we sold them last year. Cancun is not our vibe anymore as it is too "party centric" and skewed to a younger demo. We like the more laid back vibe in the Playa del Carmen area. We used to go to Mexico annually for about 20 years and going forward it will be most likely bi-annually. We also own at Disney Vacation Club and love that!
We did what you are doing by watching several RU-vid videos. Since we don't have children, we wanted to be located in a quieter area of the resort and that is why we picked the East Village. Thanks for watching.

Great review! Are they pushy for the time share piece? What do you lose by not wasting time or showing interest in time share presentation? Also do you recommend requesting east village to get the updated villas ? Does renting an automobile important or improve the stay?
When we indicated we did not want to do the "sales pitch" they were very kind and not pushy at all. Several of the different villages at the resort have been updated and as such we would recommend asking the resort for a renovated unit in whatever village you prefer. We had our car with us and it was a benefit having it because the resort is huge and if you want to explore it is best to have a car. Plus you can go to the grocery store and just outside the resort along Hwy 192 there are a ton of dining options. Thanks for watching.
They are not all upgraded yet. The very first building as you enter the East Village still hasn't been upgraded (at least it wasn't in May when we were there). You can ask for updated villa when checking in and I think in advance as well.
@@GioandJCHello, this was a great video. And yes, the first building is the East Village is currently closed for renovations. I am a "fixed week" owner and that building is where my villa is located and this is actually my week to be there but I didn't go; I gave it to a family member as a gift. My family member told me that the building is under renovations for the upgrades. So, your video has prepared me for what's to come when I go next year. Your video allowed me to see that part of the renovations is that they removed the carpet and placed flooring throughout the units. AND IT LOOKS GORGEOUS!
It's wonderful that you guys are a travel and leisure channel but I wish, especially in pride month that you guys would be more socially aware and speak on some of the awful mandates that are being passed in Florida against the LGBTQ community. Especially since you guys live there. 🌈💛

I'm just saying that as an openly gay couple that actually lives in Florida, it would be nice to hear their stance on things like "Don't say gay" etc.
