We’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Desert Club Resort several times over the years, usually in a one bedroom with a full kitchen. The property is located at 3950 Koval Ln., just a block from the Las Vegas Strip. It sits just behind the Linq Promenade and you can easily spot the High Roller Observation Wheel and the MSG Sphere from the parking lot. It is also right down the block from popular off-strip casinos, including Ellis Island and Tuscany Casino.
It’s an excellent location for enjoying all that the Las Vegas strip has to offer and is a much quieter and less expensive option to the massive casino hotels nearby. In-room kitchens, washers and dryers, several pools and hot tubs, fitness center, game room, on-site restaurant Gold Mine Bar & Grill, on-site Marketplace, FREE on-site covered parking, special activities at the main pool, including live music, barbeque grills and so much more, make this property one of the best values near the Las Vegas strip. This kid-friendly resort will keep your family entertained and relaxed, but is only a short walk to the strip, where you can enjoy all of the Las Vegas attractions.

I’ve stayed there twice. Very nice and comfortable. Good location. Once had a room like yours. Once had a room facing Koval. It was smaller and pretty noisy but we had a great view of the New Year’s fireworks from our balcony! Yes Gold Mine was good.

I stayed there in 2023 & 24. I took the presentation in 23 & as a business owner, foundvit to br a no brainer to buy into their "timeshare". It's not the traditional type that you buy a week of time. You buy points that can be use anytime or converted (for a fee) to use at IHG hotels. As i go to Vegas for a business expo, I purchased this for business purposes.

It’s a really nice property. We have a timeshare in FL and purchase the point system through RCI. Definitely seems like a better deal than just using one week a year. We’ve gotten so many weeks with points all over the country and beyond. Unfortunately, we’re unable to use it much anymore because very few properties allow dogs.

We’ve stayed here several times and never had a tub like this either! The fridge door sounds like ours at home. It’s up against the wall and we can’t open it past 90 degrees so we can’t get the fruit drawer out to wash it. So annoying!

@The Midlife Ride It was definitely 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours long. We were expecting that. It was actually a very interesting presentation, and while we had to sit through several pitches, I didn't think it was too aggressive, compared to some others we went on at least 10 years ago in Gatlinburg. We got our $200 cash and left. The only one we ever seriously considered buying was a timeshare at Myrtle Beach by Marriott. It was nice. Sorry, for the long answer!

I’m around 6’1”, and hardly ever encounter a shower head that high. That tub/shower definitely has a way of making you feel smaller :)

The video shown does show a table in the corner,I have seen another video with a table and chairs and a fridge directly behind it!,have they revamped the rooms since?,What room is featured in the Video as there are quite a few combinations?.

Just checked out the floor plans available on their website and it looks like this must have been the one bedroom deluxe. If you click on each room, the floor plan is at the bottom of the description. Weird, because I don’t remember booking a deluxe and our reservation said we were in a studio! That’s definitely not the case. Sorry for the confusion:)

Thanks for watching:) We didn’t film our food from Gold Mine. We had a lot going on that week and just forgot. We took our food to-go and ate in the room. Think we got the quesadilla and the cheesesteak. Both were pretty good and the prices weren’t too bad either. The restaurant itself looked like a nice place. Small, with regular tables and bar seating. Quite a few folks watching sports at the bar. We’ll definitely go again on our next stay!

We weren’t doing a presentation. We exchanged points through RCI for the week. We have a timeshare that we took over from a family member (we didn’t buy it ourselves and would not recommend buying one.) We have heard from some guests here that the timeshare reps can be pretty aggressive, so be prepared for that. If you aren’t interested in buying, start practicing your NOs now:)

@@theverch1 Chris’ parents bought a timeshare in FL years ago. It was paid off and they didn’t want it anymore. So, they transferred the title to us and now we’re paying the maintenance fees every year. We were using it a lot, so it worked out for a while. But, we can’t anymore because of our dog so we’ll probably try to get rid of it, too.

We don’t usually mention cost because they fluctuate so much. The link is in the description so folks can check prices and availability. A week I checked this month was about $250 a night after taxes and fees.
