@@darkimpulse2829 I mean something is clearly overwriting the color palette, so if it only happens in this room then obviously it follows that something in the room is overwriting the color palette. Not exactly the most big brained deduction.
For those commenting about how one of the three is left without a home: this is likely intentional, as reference to the Triforce Trilogy that got cut down to the Oracle Duology, leaving Farore to be Oracle of Secrets without a game of her own (the Oracle games, like The Minish Cap, were made under license by Capcom). Originally, Din would still oversee the Rod of Seasons, but Nayru would have a paintbrush linked to the day/night cycle and Farore would have the Harp of Ages. Each Sage would be linked to their corresponding trait (the Japanese titles for the Oracle Games are Mystical Seed of Power and Mystical Seed of Wisdom, after all - Farore would have been key to Mystical Seed of Courage).
I get the split gameplay wise. Power's game is about combat (seasons), Wisdom's game is about puzzles (ages), so Courage's game would have to be about exploration, but it's hard to make a zelda game based on exploration a fun and fulfilling experience when all zelda games have a basis in exploration. I see why the third was cut gameplay wise, but it's still sad lore wise.
@@harrisontownsend910 The primary reason for the cut supposedly had to do with the link system! Complexity grows exponentially with each added game linked this way, and that is the difference between 4x work and 9x work. It was much simpler to allow for only two games, and many of the elements of Farore's game were taken over into Nayru's game before the latter had much finished.
@@axuwu6939 It was supposed to be linked primarily to color (hence a paintbrush). Lots of color-linked puzzles. But just as the music of the Harp of Ages controlled past/future, the colors of the paintbrush would control the day/night cycle.
It was going to be where if you had both games you could link them together and it would unlock the third, but they ran out of time to make it so ended up scrapping the concept.
ALSO! If you enter Mama's Cafe after using a charm and it wears off there, you'll still turn orange instead of reverting back to green (it even flashes between the charm color and orange)
@@BinknotLink: As Donatello asked in 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season 4 Episode 2: Turtles of the Jungle: "What color do you turn if you're already green??"
Idk if its useful but its because she raises both defense and attack by a little, going red + blue = purple; henche where the 4th hero from fourth swordz aventure come from
@@JadenMoon1475extreme postive emotions can have negative effects on the body, example, if you see something you absolutely think its cute your first instinct is to squeeze it, most people pass it off as just hug type of squeeze, but actually, what's really happening is your brain is in an overload mode and physically seeks to kill the target causing the emotion by squeezing, too much of something good can be bad, water is healthy and required for living, but too much water will result in organ failure
eh. i think there’s a lot that could be lost if they make it modern. The pixel art is perfect as is, and the game still plays fine. i don’t think it needs a remake like Link’s Awakening did
It's a color pallet error, that's all. It seems to recall from the wrong values. There's a lot of similar bugs like this in sonic games that people have made into characters lol
@@axuwu6939There are two ways to read this, with one way funnier than the other for culture reasons: 1) "I found out I'm a lesbian [or some flavor of that] because I liked Din" 2) "Din made me straight" I think the idea of 2 is REALLY funny, XD
Fan artists need to make Orange/Gray Link a thing cause that is one of the coolest color pallets for him, especially with the orange eyes. I almost want to call him "Moblin Link"
If this were an anime, Link would probably take it upon himself to start a relationship with the third Sage, just so he could have an excuse to let her live in his home...or give it up, do she can, without feeling cornered.
@@dathansmith85how does that make it incorrect? If it’s a reference it doesn’t matter how much older minish cap is, as long as it came out before Smash Bros Ultimate. Though I do doubt it’s a direct reference, more likely just a color for the sake of having it
Really like your hopes, but no. Game developers think for their current game. It's the community (including me) that likes to connect the dots, but if something is intentional it isn't this specific very few developers think about Easter Eggs, because it's not the game and content itself. And technically glitches aren't in general intentional, maybe if it's a very personal one Sorry not sorry to burst your bubble, It's just a reality check.
This glitch is interesting, because I once tried to force Link's color to be blue with gameshark codes. Unfortunarly, it didn't had a code to set Link's color to blue, but it had one to set his pallete like the on in the video
Somehow I knew about the orange tunic BEFORE EVEN KNOWING YOU COULD CHANGE YOUR TUNIC BASED ON THE FOUR SWORD COLORS FROM THE START. HOW DID I NEVER KNEW THIS ?!!?
Whats even worse is that the guy who rents out the house is even like "id love to build another house here if i could just get rid of these cats" making it seem like you could do something there to get him to build the third house, but despite his hint theres nothing to be done
I never played the minish cap, But I find it Really interesting that that's the origin of the parallel link colors in the 4 swords games, most notably purple link
I believe when you connect the Oracle games Faroe is in a tree keeping tabs on secrets, so technically she's the only employed Oracle. Din is a dancer and Nayru is a princess? My memory is lacking.
Never seen this before. I've 100% the game (don't do it, those figurines are awful), but I've never actually *used* the charms. Also, I want a remake of the game really badly. Hopefully they complete the sidequest since it seems incomplete
I’ve once collected all the figurines (shudders) Also, if ya haven’t, look up MrDrBoi. He did a video on why THAT piece of heart is THE worst in the series
Link: Stand down or taste defeat Dark! Dark Link: It is you who will taste defeat! Medium Grey Link: Can't we settle this over a nice hot coffee at the cafe?
I still love this game til this day.. This is the only legend of Zelda game i completed 100% After having everything i felt so proud of myself.. I wish this game had a remastered treatment for the Nintendo Switch..
I have a drawing of mine of minish cap link that I turned orange into Photoshop in order to use as a lock screen wallpaper I'm glad orange link is canon Minish cap is such a goated game
My bet is that there was probably some intention to make an orange/yellow 4th sage, but they never implemented it. They likely forgot to change the assets in their house, and so Link transforms into the additional asset rather than the sage charms he actually has.
They remind me of the drive forms from kingdom hearts 2. The orange is anti form, purple is master form, blue is wisdom form, and red is valor form. Limit and final don't get representation.
this reminds me of the 2 oracle games. there was suppose to be 3rd but they couldnt get the password system to work on a 3rd. its oracle of ages (nayru) and seasons (din). i think this whole only 2 houses is an easter egg pointing to that. so i would love to see them remake the oracle games and release a 3rd without the password system and then remake this game giving farore her home.
In turn, both the oracles and the various regions of Hyrule (Eldin, Faron, and Lanayru) are named after the Three Goddesses that created Hyrule in legend, and formed the Triforce!
So, i found this out using gameshark codes to change links tunic color, thw orange is just a different palette number (i forget which, its been over a decade, but i wanna day it was either palette zero or FF) Something about that location is making the game display that palette instead of the intended one, but it fixes when you leave, meaning the game has the correct palette to display in memory, just the inital change isnt working correct there
Maybe the colour-palette for that area/house specifically has a mistake in it, resulting in his coding for colors to mismatch from what it was intended to be.
