I worked at Blockbuster Video when this came out. We had a listening wall where you could buy CDs and listen to then. This was on a mix. I was BROKE at the time so evertime I got off work I would go to the wall and vibe befor walking home. My manager ended up buying me the CD a brand new portable CD player with wicked skip protection and some wicked KOSS headphones. She must have spent 350.00 bucks. I cried like a b. It was super nice. I wore the same clothing everyday to work. She took me to Walmart and bought me 4 pairs of khaki cargo pants. Some people give a F... Most fun I've ever had at a job. We had a family there. I worked there through school. I was one of the first employees and literally the last to leave the building. RIP Blockbuster Video. 😢 Great F-ing track!

'Monsters Exist' briefly popping up there on screen in 96 and then as a whole album mumblety mumble years later.

As a child, this thing completely changed my idea of music. Without these notes and sounds, I could no longer live.

This song started my journey into electronic music, and what a journey...

I cant even imagine how long it actually took to shoot this vid omg she must have been taking a step every 10 or so mins wow. I really wish more artists would make music like this. its so full of emotion I swear it tears me up at the end. Her FACE.

This album and this video, specifically, played no small role in my current continued existence on this planet. Paul & Phil - you guys quite literally saved my life.

I bought In Sides in 96, and finally saw them live in 99. I've been listening to Orbital for almost 30 years, and will continue to listen for another 30+.

Why am I seeing this for the first time in 2024... I feel cheated.

And to think this is one of the earliest performances on camera of the great Tilda Swinton, love this.

What an absolutely amazing clip and sound. I discovered Orbital in 97, together with FSOL, Photek, Aphex Twin and others, and this type of music is still present in my life almost 25 years alter.

Why is this a different pitch/key than the album version? It's one of the best songs and videos of the 90s, seriously great stuff and thew fact that stations played a 5 minute song with no lyrics is a testament to just how great this all was. Very special bit of work. Cheers.

I have been looking for this video for years!!!!!!!! I can finally rest in peace reconnecting with this little piece of nostalgia. I feel like I just reunited with an old friend. This whole time I thought this video was a different british electronic group, to no avail could never find it. Its so hard to describe to anyone the awe inspiring feeling I got first watching this gem on MTV during after hours. I was completely mesmerized. Thank you Orbital for influencing my journey and inspiring me to create my own music. Hope to do a remix with you gents one day. Cheers from Texas.

I've been absorbing Orbital's music for years and never knew they made a video for "The Box". This was as awesome and thought provoking as the track itself. The fact that their music speaks volumes without actually having words (unless samples of course) has always captivated me, and very few groups can emulate the Orbital effect.

I remember getting hyped for this release back in the mid 90s. Sat in a girlfriends bedroom and this masterpiece gets its first airing on Radio1... I instantly loved it, my ex hated it.

Brilliant tune and video. Orbital were a gateway to electronic music in the 90's that many of us happily took. It still holds up today, like the best music.
