My son did a whole dance routine to them at our wedding x i drove dowm castlereagh road..listening to belfast and im still here near 19 years later ❤ i LOVE these brothers! Paul..phil..I salute you x stay safe ❤
This is such a great tune.. I still remember hearing this for the first time in 2012.. It was on my weekend leave from army base. On that morning I was playing this song non stop and it was literally in my head, but unfortunately phone rang and it was my sister who told that my father died that morning from heart attack... And now I'm here getting flashbacks every time I hear this song.
I am lucky enough to have seen Orbital a few times including the Albert Hall. They are without doubt the best live act you will ever see. The continue to be mega awesome.
Will never forget that night at The Albert Hall & looking up at the crowds of people going mental in the upper stalls. I've seen Orbital countless times including Kraftwerk, but one act I still haven't seen is Onuka. I'd recommend seeing her live.
Actually, they are indeed playing with all the knobs and buttons - if you go to more than one of their gigs they never sound the same. I'm sure they could set it up on a laptop and press play if they wanted to, but they don't. They're using all those synths.
saw them at electric picnic ireland 2012,, hadnt seen them in 10 years, holy shit,,, they are the real deal,, love them been a fan eith years ireland again lads soon we love you
I'm been following these guys since early 90s. I moved to Christchurch New Zealand and they only came over and played. Must have been only 1,000 people. Not only that i bumped into them walking around. Have you ever seen a 52 year old man drowling. I didn't care. I shared my undying love for them. Then when the gig finished, they both looked down and saw me at the front. I saluted them, and they both saluted me back. Those who were with me all went 'What the FARK' A moment that will live with me for ever more. Dance/Electronic music with Soul and Feeling and Emotion. Enough said. ps get the live at Glastonbury DVD. It sums them up over the last 30 years
Oh fuck my life i think this is the 1st time i watched them live!!! Just after they regrouped? I was nearly crying going in to see them...best night of my life!!! Trumps my wedding night!
Grandi , stimolano l ipofisi mi sento sempre più vivo e più immerso con il tutto , spazio tempo et annullamento . Liberta' no 3D, no 4D . PEACE LOVE TRUTH .
Go listen to their Glastonbury performances from 2010 - they're on RU-vid. Try Chime/Crime for example, and then go listen to their album counterparts. Completely different. Improved every year, no less. Then try Satan. They add a fucking drum and bass coda at the end - I'd never seen that before. The brothers mix and sequence everything on the fly during their live performances so you never know quite what you'll get. I have never been bored at an Orbital gig, and I know their albums by heart.
They have been in the game since the late 80s. The Prodigy may have more energy but this band will change your life. Live PA to the Max. Only one to compare is Chemical Brothers. And these 3 bands are the last of a generation. Ooh, Underworld and Rabbit in the Moon are in there as well. DJs be Damned, Live is where its at.
True that. Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, and Underworld are the only major electronic acts I can think of off the top of my head that genuinely play live.
I think that "where is it now" is going to be another classic like chime, it certainly looks and sounds excellent live. Orbital certainly have not lost it since splitting as their album is very good
