I'm beginning to think that he was staying there because he was grieving for his lost mother. Seems like he knew how to get out all along. Perhaps he just needed to do get over it on his own and get to that place where nature takes over and he knew he was ready to go. It warms my heart that so many people, primarily the indigenous peoples, took over responsibility and care of him until he was ready to move on. Indigenous peoples always know what to do when it comes to things like this. So proud of them! I can't wait to hear the news that he has either found his family or is adopted into another pod. Safe journeys little one! May your live a long and adventurous life in the big blue pond! I hope you know how much you are loved!
@@m.bird. now the big question is, will she be able to feed on her own, or will she seek out boats now that she's been fed. i'm afraid that a tragic outcome is quite likely for this calf.
So happy to hear! I'm curious about something here, how do Orcas compare to us humans when it comes to growing up and maturing, I know they live similar life spans and also when we mature.......so does that mean this Orca calf is basically a 2 year old equivalent of a human child wandering around it's World without a parent or any kind of family member....meant to feed and care for itself and it's survival? Think of that happening to a human child......it must be almost the same for this lonely calf in it's Ocean World
You didn’t save mom and baby is not going to make it on her own. Hopefully she finds her extended family and they teach her the needed survival skills.
@@centuryhousegames733without his excellent leadership this whale would still be trapped probably. I thought you folks like attributing ridiculous things to Trudeau?
@@willyhwang1059 because that’s nature. Huh? I didn’t say that humans interfere in every single instance, but humans have been interfering with nature since the beginning of the species due to the simple fact that we inhabit the natural environment.
No with all the helicopters that can pick military tanks or tons of water to drop on fires they couldn't pick up one baby orca in 10 minutes. Yet they spend weeks trying to get this poor baby out unbelievable.
No you are unbelievable, helicopters and military tanks deafen whales, the orca would die, much much worse than a military tank being sold with the idea of saving whales. Yet your comment is like that of fool to me for making such sleight with that bland and (effectively violent mentioning literal weapons as saviour items) ignorance to the truth of ecology. Such as, deafening whales being much worse than a couple weeks of dedicated effort. It is truly sad the calf's mother perished. What's a couple weeks of effort? We have 1000s of years to enjoy and rebuild Nature if we get through the next few decades without utter collapse of civilization.
Your comment is very harmful. You said "Who relies on people when there are no people without GOD a Spirit that created man Christ I Am" That disgusts me. We need one another and ecosystems have our support, and aliens on other planets do not care about us. In 1400 they literally thought 1) the Earth was flat, 2) the animals and non White beings were unconscious, and 3) you could buy your way into heaven. I guess the first two are down, still working on the last. Just talking historical fact here, no interpretation like your comment is (a philosophical theological claim I am contesting. I like Spinoza's view of god as Nature. That is my freedom of religion, here. Let us be fit in mind and hope the Orca stays free, what's important.
Thats not "messing" around with Nature.....it's "preserving" Nature. "Messing" around with Nature is things like Oil Spills, Bio-engineering or Overfishing etc
@@jnielsen90 if humans had not known about this nature would of run its course but instead humans got involved and forced the animal to do what “humans” thought best. Is that easier to understand for you?
@@kr6370 I hate to rain on you're parade but even you can't possibly know what was meant to be....if Nature wanted to rid itself of humans on Earth it could have.....yet we're still here, for a little while longer
You are unsure what Nature is. Would you let your mom's forest burn and ocean die? Humans are stewards. Whales and humans can actually communicate, cooperate, ask one another for help. NEVERMIND, talking isn't part of Mother Nature, I guess, either.
