Pretty Simple. Each Light was attached with two Zip ties. One in the back through the eye loop, and one just behind light head to stabilize and point the main body in the exact direction I wanted. The tension amount used on each side, allowed me to point both light to one general focal area. The zip ties go through the pre-cut opening in the helmet.
What video lights do you shoot with normally? I get the impression that these aren't your main video lights, but I could be wrong. More light reviews would be great. :-) I am currently using Kraken Hydra 8000s. Love the ability to switch to red or blue/purple for fluoro diving and the digital display for battery/brightness information is great. Of course, they weigh a fair amount...but that's a trade off. Keep up the great work!
the Kraken Hydra is a great light. No these are not my main lights. I am in the market for new lights soon myself, and want to upgrade for the LEDs I have now, which to your point I can only swap color combo with an attachable color clip which is a pain. Light videos are in the works. As they are needed here in the northeast.
I have the D710. I wanted to love it from the time it came out. Unfortunately, after two battery fails, and this weekend, losing the power button and having the unit fail (flood) completely, Orca is off my Xmas list…
Interesting. Where do you dive? Can you define battery fail? I am curious. As for flooding, the O-ring wasn't damaged or have a degrading, I assume. Sorry to hear. How may times did you dive with it?
@@watertrek360 Failure = power button coming off the unit and flooding. Prior to that, two battery fails, where the battery failed to indicate it was charging. Overall, very dissatisfied with this unit. As a company they have been responsive, but doesn’t excuse a crappy product. Before that I have the Sealife 1500 torch for about 2 years. Depends on what you doing. When wreck diving up here in dark water, I like a narrow beam. Also sometimes the additional lumen create more backscatter than I need. And less is better. It really is up to your needs.
@@watertrek360 looking to buy my first dive torch, mainly to use as primary at night (not necessarily wreck dives) potentially use it red rea night dive and also to use it during the day if possible to look through some holes/cracks in the rocks.
