One of the best movie scores ever to be written. Elmer Bernstein knew his craft. I have enjoyed many of his scores. Thank you to The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for their very talented musicians and Mr. Karabits for his skill.

I was fortunate enough to be at Bernstein's 80th birthday concert in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in 2002 when he conducted a fantastic performance by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra of many of his fabulous film scores, including The Magnificent Seven. The orchestra's subsequent recording of this piece under the baton of the Hollywood film conductor Joel McNeely became the definitive version and is played frequently by Classic FM.

In a class of its own. This, along with The Big Country, are the two themes which defined the romantic concept of the American Wedt. For be, this one is he better, with its singing melody, strong rhythms and the lyrical midsection tipping its hat to the Hispanic connection. Hard not to listen without a tear to this glorious evocation.

While I tend toward Classical Music most of the time, I have grown up watching A Lot of Movies. And I think many movie composers are overlooked - John Williams and a couple of others excepted. More from Korngold, M Jarre, Elfman et alia! Thanks for this clip. 🎉

I played this song at a youth orchestra with a bunch of kids (I’m a young kid too!)and I find it so funny that kids can play just as well as grownups

Why were several bars left off the beginning of the piece? The entire tone of the piece is set by the missing music!

This is not a complete version of the Magnificent Seven Suite. The full version runs over 5 minutes. Very disappointing that this cut off midway through the Suite.,
