So BEAUTIFUL! The first orchid you show (Vanda with tiny pink flowers) I really like the color of the flowers but I really love the purple-like color of the leaves. Gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing! I learn so much from your videos!
Hey, Danny! Loved seeing some of your blooms, especially the gigantea! I miss your orchids in bloom series, but I know they took up a lot of time to edit. I was wondering how your Tying Shin Fly Eagle is doing? I got mine last year after seeing your older videos and I fell in love with him. Mine's such a reliable bloomer, blooms at least twice a year with more red in winter and more yellow in summer - amazing plant! I'd love to see yours!
I thoroughly enjoy watching your 'in bloom' videos. You honestly have the most beautiful orchids. I would LOVE if you did a video when you repot the Gigantea!! I'm so intrigued to see the root system! One day I will own one of those beauties😍
The gigantea is sooooooo beautiful! I wish I had one, but they are usually quite expensive unless they're very small. It's curious that the flowerspikes tend to grow downwards or into the substrate. I had my Phalaenopsis javanica do the same thing when it produced its first ever bloom this year. It's super cute and beautiful but I had to maneuver the flower upwards a tiny bit every day and make sure I don't break it off.
That's so interesting. I have two buds on my paph vanda M. Pearson too. I love this paph. It blooms every year unlike some of my other paphiopedilums. It's a good beginner paph
Dani, can you speak about the humidity you experience throughout the year? In Phoenix our cool season is often in the single digits to mid teens for months on end and, depending on the summer monsoon, may get to a more comfortable 30 to 40 range. I keep primarily phals and try to get them adapted to the low humidity. I've so far not had much luck keeping zygos, cymbidium, or other pduedo bulb type orchids. Are there other species or family types you recommend for warm arid environment? Tips on keeping orchids in a low humidity environment?
Hello I just received an orchids in bloom, in a very tight potting. I dont have any idea about orchids but i feel sorry for this plant for its space. Can I re-pot now even in bloom? ❤🇯🇵
Hi, orchids don't mind tight pots at all no worries. You can repot whenever you want, you can wait and enjoy the blooms longer if you don't want to risk losing them earlier than normal though 😊
Hi, there are many nurseries located all over the world. They usually send only withing their economic region, so best to google one in your area or country 😊
