Fortnite started out as a "Orcs must die" game with the mode "Save the World" .. then they added battle royale

Reminds me of Dungeon Defenders (played the first one before the 2nd came out. Still haven't tried Dungeon Defenders II, so I don't know what it's worth, but it's free and I liked DD1). I wondered which one came first as it's possible that one of them was inspired by the other, so I checked on Steam but, funnily enough, "Orcs Must Die!" came out in 2011, october 11th, which was... just 7 days before "Dungeon Defenders" ^^

Thats what got me into omd 3. Dungeon Defenders 1 was my #1 childhood game. Dungeon Defenders 2 is worth a playthrough, but a massive step down from 1 with like 50% of the game content being behind paywalls
