I visualize warlock powering as the patron having a small part of the warlocks soul which he powers up and the rest of the soul powers up in response

I think orcus with his massive and powerful wand can give the big D a fun for his money. They may be so equal in power they might kill each other at the same time. Orcus will Stan the big D with his wand and the big D will impale orcus with a tentacle. We call this a "Double Penetration". -Innkeeper Vase Odin

Demogorgon and Orcus's rivalry is definitely one of the most interesting parts of Abyssal lore in Dungeons and Dragons. However, what keeps them from just obliterating each other is their shared enemy, the demon lord Graz'zt. I hope you guys cover him too in the near future as he's a big player in the constant power struggles happening in the Abyss.

Demogorgon is like the billionaire who was born into the money but was groomed for it and Orcus was like the guy who had nothing and worked his way up the corporate latter and became a self made billionaire. Now they are the 2 richest men in their world with the biggest rivalry.

More magic physics. It could be like a field he projects into the universe and allows/denies access at will to his minions. Like a warlock would have to make contact with the patron to get the wifi code to his magic field.

Orcus is the last demon lord anyone should want to do business with. He hates everything and wants to kill everything. Literal he hates all living and dead things. He wants to murder everything in the multiverse except him. Its like Thanos. What the hell is the point? There nothing to do then. Nothing. Literal the Abyss won't allow that. I'd do a Fea Pact Titama would be who I'd go to.

Eh, Thanos didn't want to kill 100% of everyone...just half (I'm saying "just" as if that's not horrible haha). He even loved Gomorrah i.e. his big sacrifice for the soul stone. No, I'm not arguing that Thanos is a good...errr...mutant, but only half as bad.

Orcus shouldn't need his wand to be a master necromancer. At present, he basically loses his spellcasting if you get his wand away from him, but I always thought he should have the abilities of an epic-level necromancer even without it.

The Wand of Orcus seems kind of underpowered to me. If I ever get to run him, I'm probably going to double the damage dice on it. It really should just kill people on contact.

I know people have already said this but I'll do it anyway Orcus is in lore and many options second most powerful demon lord just under demegorgon, but rivalling orcus is graz'zt also the second most powerful demon Lord and they both hate each other has much demegorgon

1 interesting thing about my necromancer (I plan for him to be a high elf necromancer wizard with 17 levels of necromancy wizard and 3 levels of death cleric) his powers are drawn from orcus (I mean he's more or less taking the power from the dead God body of orcus and plans on usurping all of its power for himself) so for obvious reasons my character probably is making orcus very mad

Just for the record - in the Gord books (True cannon, written by D&D creator) Graz'zt is the more dominant of the 3 and Demogorgon is absolutely shit scared of facing him in combat because of the power of his sword.
