I just went and test drove the EQS SUV and I'm intrigued but also hesitant because of autopilot and supercharger network. It is definitely way more comfortable than even the refresh X though!

I’d reckon a test drive in the new Model x plaid or long range just to be certain! 🙃

I 100% agree with what you said about franchise dealerships with marking the cars up however much they want. But if the customers would quit paying over MSRP the dealership wouldn't charge it.

Hey Dan, the only thing to keep in mind with a vehicle that sound proof is sometimes its hard to hear emergency vehicles coming! I almost got in the way once because the vehicle I had was so sound proof. But I love it!

Couple of months back, there's an electric car show in Malaysia. For my first experience of just checking and sitting in the car(not driving nor use any of the intuitive functions available). I have to say, as per this channel has shown us, I feel that Tesla is like a minimalistic, high technology car. It fascinates me so. However the Mercedes eqs, I forgotten which model, but it's a sedan, I truly enjoy sitting in the car and believe the drive would be very comfortable. If I could afford it, I might choose this car. (The eqs)

I personally think that the mercs layout is way better than the model 3 we had because the ac controls are always on the screen and things aren't hidden under stuff

I have 3 different EV 1 BMW i3, Nissan Leaf and a PHEV Ford Escape, never had the issue with range anxiety since I live in Puerto Rico and the distance are just perfect for EVs. I charge at home.

One is a luxury vehicle with incredible features… the other is a battery pack on wheels and a decent UI (wing doors were clearly designed for countries with no rain). Similar pricing - I know which I’d go for. Mercedes all day

Your dealerships are scam. Here in Germany we only have authorized dealers that only sell to msrp or sometimes less if the dealer likes you. Dealerships here are actually great because you stay in contact with the brand. If you got problems you can always go there and they will take care of you. I would really miss that with a Tesla.

Model X was my personal favourite. But EQS isn’t that bad, but not my personal favourite. I have a better taste for Tesla 😂. But congrats!

We still have range anxiety when we travel to more rural areas and the nearest Tesla supercharger is a good 30- 60 min away so planning is a must. Also I've had the same experience with chargers not working at several EVGO stations or there are only 2 of them and both are in use and my Tesla is low on battery. What then? I also agree that Mercedes needs a frunk. We store folding chairs and coolers in our Model X frunk. I like the ambient lighting, very similar to my new BMW. A good review as always.

Since I know you are fellow golfers - how well does it fit full size golf bags and carts? I’ve had tesla 3, y, and the ioniq5, and generally my main complaint is in fitting my/son’s golf bags + bagboy carts without a lot of hassle.

I have a Rivian R1T and just took a trip from Utah -> WA and back. Electrify America sucks, and it takes 2 or 3 different apps to verify if locations are even open and operating. For example, a main/key stop on our trip had all stations offline - but the Rivian's navigation, a better route planner app, and Electrify America's app didn't show that (later I found out that the plug share app did show that it was offline). Since that one stop was offline, we had to slow charge overnight at a hotel that was only 3 hours from our final destination. At several stops we had to wait for cars to move because 2 or 3 out of the 4 stations were offline.

Last Winter I drove my Mach-E from PA to FL and back. Used EA without any issues for the whole trip and the hotel we stayed at in FL had a level 2 charger. Total trip was 2600 miles. But on the 200 mile trip to our closest beach there were no level 3 charging stations offering more than 50 kWh charging. I think you will find as I have that you really need to plan your trip.

Everything about this car is just purely amazing to me, love the exterior and the interior.

Dan, I have an mustang mach e and I use evgo charging stations, not an issue they have good service and reliable network.

We don’t get markups in the uk unless it’s like sold out and it just impossible to get it.

I have a eqs suv and for CarPlay you need to click CarPlay for it to work

I have had three Model Xs. And loved them. But Volvo is coming out with an all electric SUV called the EX90. I think it looks really good. I am planning on placing an order for one.

You should also look into getting the electric BMW X5 for the next replacement for one of your cars 💯

Its been 3 months I bought a second hand Hyundai Ioniq electric and I love it.. I will never come back to a gas car.. And here in Quebec I didn't had any problems with charging station so far

Sometimes buttons are convenient because the screen can glitch way more than a physical button will

I have the X plaid on order, but lately I’ve been really impressed by the stunning looking Geely Zeekr… ?! A large cross hatch SUV 800v 1000km range that charges fully in 10min?!?

I would go for the Rivian R1S max out version and still safe money.

Get a Rivian R1S if there is a dealer markup.

In Europe you can use the Tesla chargers on most none Tesla EV’s because they all use the same Type2/CCS charge plug. You probably have to wait for 2024 to get the car.

When I was on a road trip in the mustang Mach e it added 9 hours to the trip because the chargers weren’t working and I barely got to a working charger with 1 mile left. The trip was from California to Missouri

I’m just “old fashioned” when comes to cars, washer & dryers…. Just want physical knobs and buttons that can press/turn and don’t ave to depend on electronics for a “cmd” to “do something”; cuz if that breaks….have fun😉 Bet ya pay subscription or those heated seats, and extra for round steering wheels🤣🤣

You can call the dealer system antiquated, but when you need something fixed or some bodywork done, it's going to work a lot smoother than your Tesla experience was.

Biggest issue I have with Tesla is no sunshade, sunroof and as you mentioned breathable seats. Also Benz interior looks miles ahead. On the other hand, Tesla charging network and software seems better. Question is : Do you want iOS ( Tesla ) or Android ...

Nice Video, However now Tesla Model X and S both have option to get round steering, which is free and older deliveries can upgrade by paying some cost.

In Europe some Tesla SC are open to charge non-Tesla EV. With your free km you might test it with the EQS.

Having the Model S keeps you connected to the best charging network hands down. That picture might change if (or when) they (Tesla) let everyone else in. Keeping Mom happy and comfy is priority #1.

Not a fan of exterior styling of mercs cars and SUVs lately, but interiors are top notch. Also would be concerned with German cars and their electronics after warranty runs out!

It’s a shame. That interior is so so so slick. Unmatched. It’s just frustrating the exterior is like a suburban soccer van. That’s likely their target demo but still, it’s like wtf just happened when you pull out the exterior shot 😆 I almost thought it was a joke at first.

The dealer rant is a legit point but there is laws in the U.S.A. that you have to sell through a dealer. This is why tesla calls them galleries not dealerships to get around the rule.
