"Ordinary World" is a song by English rock band Duran Duran, released in December 1992 as the first single from their self-titled album (1993), commonly known as The Wedding Album. The ballad reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40, the Canadian RPM Top Singles chart, and the Italian Singles Chart. It also peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 2 in Iceland and Sweden, and No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart.

Hope you enjoy my take on Ordinary World , Its a big favourite of mine , played live ,no video editing.
Its quite a long cover at about 6mins, so I was glad it only took me three attempts to get right LOL'
Played on my Harley Benton ST-59 Guitar, on the neck /middle combination pickups.
Just fitted new strings Ernie Balls 10s,
Through my Zoom G3x , with EFTP , connected via L/R outputs to two Line 6 Spider Combo 15 watt Amps in Stereo.

Great job on this one Dave !! - I consider it to be an up to date modern one but of course even Duran Duran can date back to the '90s. LOL. Super sound and playing.. Cheers Phil

Good afternoon Phil, yes a bit more up to date, always liked this track, yes I was happy with the sound on this, and only the third take, you don't want to be playing this many times at 6mins long LOL. The HB had just been restrung Ernie Balls 10s, pack of three sets , a Xmas present, and I polished the body and neck ,I use car turtle wax really makes them shine.😊🎸🎸 Thanks for your support , and the tabs of course , its very much much appreciated, . Duran Duran and the Cure had some of the most picture perfect melancholic lead melodies of all time. This song and Come Undone bring back so many great memories. Would be cool to hear you cover something from Cocteau Twins or early Chameleons, especially the song Second Skin

The songs you mentioned ,I'm not familiar with, but will have a look.👍🎸🎵 I only play by guitar tabs, which I get off different websites, or guitar players on YT, with the BTs, I've only done a handful of songs by myself , as I only started playing guitar in 2016, so as I get more experience I may try and tab some more. Its just over 6 mins ,long and like you say a lot of notes , but I soon got to grips with it ,only the 3rd take this 😊, for the sound I used The Shadows ,Wonderful Land patch, but played on neck/middle pick ups instead of bridge, so gives it a softer ,kind of atmospheric sound. And I moved the video camera round to get more light in the lens from the window, brings out the colours better.🌈 Thanks Jon , for your fantastic comment and support , have a good week . I used the Wonderful land patch on the Zoom EFTP , but its played on neck / middle, and I thought sounded perfect for this one, gives it a nice atmospheric sound. The high notes at the 12th fret, have to be in time ,because you are matching the same notes in the BT, which gives them sections nice harmonies, it took a while to get perfect lol.. thanks for listening . All the best Dave.👍🎸🎸🎵🎵😊
