My name is David Barker ,born in Wigan UK. Started learning guitar in 2016, I play from tabs to learn the song first then, play it from memory. I've always been a fan of The Shadows and Hank Marvin's exceptional guitar skills. I prefer to play lead guitar ,than acoustic guitar ,because I must admit I'm hopeless at chords, I will have to spend more time at that I suppose. My Gear./ I didn't want to spend a fortune just starting out, I bought a Strat copy, fitted with Wilkinson's pickups, a Korg Toneworks AX3000G ,two Line 6 ,15watt Spider Amps set to a clean channels ZoomG3X EFTP. Panasonic TM900 AVCHD ,Dolby stereo camcorder. Ext Sony condenser mic EMC-MS907. Lexato Wireless system WS-50. My backing tracks are on a fire tablet, or Ipod , connected to the amps earphone jacks. My guitars are a Maroon DM Instruments , a Benson blueburst ,my latest is a Harley Benton ST-59 HM tribute in fiesta red . I setup my own guitars, I use gauge 10s strings.

Hi Alan, 1961 this one I was only 3yr old then LOL. Yes its not an easy one , I did struggle with the fast runs at the 12th, it wasn't perfect , but the best of many takes over a few days. I'm struggling with arthritis in my neck and shoulders at the minute , dreading winter with the damp and cold , after half an hour sat playing it gets a bit much at times, have to keep taking the pills 😊 Not very pleasant here Alan ,rain all day.🌧☂☂All the best , till the next one......Dave.👍🎵🎸🎧😊

Hi Jon thanks very much my friend, was a tricky one to sort out, lots of bends , trem dips, bit of everything really lol. When Phil played his version he used a acoustic guitar for the solo, I've no editing stuff, so I change the electric guitar sound to a acoustic guitar for the solo sect. using the Korg processor . Thanks very much Alan., it was a bit of a tricky one, the solo section and all the bends up ,bends down takes a bit of remembering lol. I set two presets up on the Korg one for the electric section, and at 2.33 to 3.11 for the acoustic section ,using the acoustic guitar setting on the Korg , Thought it sounded nice, its a marvelous pedal . I found it a little difficult to learn ,quite a lot to remember, but I pressed on with it , in between all the other jobs I've had on outside LOL. Played about with the solo section, where you play the acoustic, I used the Korg acoustic preset , not sure what I was setting lol, but you can tell the difference in the sound ,the echo and reverb disappear, I was happy with the outcome, that was the best take of about ten. 😊😊 Until the next one, All the best Dave.👍👍🎸🎸🎵🎵🎧🎧😊
