The Bishop of Portsmouth ordained 18 candidates to be deacons in our cathedral in June 2024. He laid hands on each of them and asked for God's Spirit to equip them for this new role. He, the Dean and one of our Archdeacons then washed their feet, to model the ministry of service they had just been ordained for.
