Great shop Billy! Enjoyed the vid...have the HF sharpener... happy with it... really does a good job for what I need it to do... much faster than the hand file...but have to be careful not to overheat the cutters...Be safe
Sure, as long as you could hold the bit and cut "down" with the rock. A rock like this is not designed to be side loaded. You are better off to take your time in making a holding jig to use the face of a bench grinder or learn to sharpen them freehand (like I do)...
The only difference between them is that both will do 10° fleam, but the 520 is adjustable for rake as well as adjustable for up and down angle of the grind as well. The HF grinder is adjustable for fleam angle alone and is fixed down angle for rake. No table adjustment for up or down grind angle.
