I keep thinking this as well. People talking about Dante and then of course Novasad is a guy, but there’s something about the guy nobody expects being the one to get the job done
I think Finney's rating stock is going to go up during his senior season, as he was a lot more focused on his position at receiver until recently... He has a huge upside to turn into a very good starting CB.
It says for the crowd to wear black for the Ohio state game so we’ll probably wear the black uniforms against them. Also we wore all black against Cal in 2021 and technically the breast cancer awareness unis were all black against ucla in 2022.
Akili was a JC transfer, so he played as a JR (slip snaps with Maas), then had a breakdown senior season … the Michigan State game is a must watch for Ducks!
Pro Football Hall of Famer Gary Zimmerman is the obvious best OL to ever come out of Oregon (with all due respect to Penei Sewell), but my favorite is JPB…if you built an avatar of an offensive lineman for a video game or animated series it would look like JPB. Plus he is really good.
I think each era should’ve gotten there own jersey concept, not put together but it still looks clean. Joey Harrington, Dennis Dickson, Chip Kelly/Mariota era.
Sunbelt? I have a suspicion that Will Stein would be more likely use continued success at Oregon as a springboard until he gets hot enough to attract interest at a power conference.... Whether that would be after this season, or after 2 or even 3 more.... I don't think he's likely to take an FCS job over offensive coordinator at Oregon. Unless my take on him is just wrong...
I see that the EA College football video game dropped defense and offensive rankings this morning. Not that surprised to see Oregon ranked at the top for offense (although being tied with Georgia for the highest rated offense in the game may take some getting used to seeing) but the ducks defense is ranked a 90 overall which makes them to the 3rd highest ranked defense in the game. Does the defense ranking surprise you more than offense ?
Stein should stay 3-4 years and cash in after the natty is secured. We’ve seen how many coaches crash and burn once they leave Oregon. Those other jobs aren’t going anywhere. And neither is his stock at this trajectory
