I grew up in Chesapeake, Va and spent a lot time on the beach in the early 70’s at Sand Bridge, VA and Hatteras! I never had a 4 wheel drive rig and never got stuck the reason! wide tires and slack tires to get more surface area on the sand. Now living in West Texas away from Comyginia!
I was there last week in my 2012 F150 That came with a rear locker from the factory. Never used it. Started driving the NC beaches in 1991. I have always lowered my tires to 20 psi. Never gone without a shovel, jack and boards and never been stuck that I had to use them. However I have seen Yankees like you with big tires showing off and getting stuck while talking shit like you did.
You make it sound like the Tahoe is really something while it is not . Although I by far prefer GM products my old 84 Ramcharger could have just as easily done the same job . SMH !
good work at 4:30 and getting 3 (!) other vehicles out ... that must have taken some time (and fuel) at 5:50, the chevy is in deep dry sand and gets itself stuck regardless of the Ford Expedition dress-up kit car : ) that Ford had just no chance of making it through there and should have been on the hard pack or just not on a beach at all
I have seen many videos, but no person has lowered the air pounds of their tires and with that the traction is doubled, that would cause none to get stuck.
For years we took our Ford Expedition out there and never once got stuck. We knew to let some air out of the tires though before hand. We also went out there once or twice in our minivan and again didn't get stuck, but then my husband is a good driver who drives big rig,ten car carriers for a living so he knows how to drive.
We were fishing at night when these 2 "Funny Boys" came walking up, said they were stuck and wanted us to pull them out. we rode back to their car.....a mazda miata, bottomed out......WTF.......ROFL We lied about not having a strap and they wanted us to take them back to their hotel ....Hell NO, we left their ass'es there. Next morning, still there. We honked as we flew by.
