@Jack Nelson you obviously don’t know football, he was the most electric QB in Oregon history. When it comes to passing, can’t say that. Did you not watch the Raiders vs Chargers? that showed who’s the way better QUARTERBACK. and it ain’t mariota. goofball
@Jack Nelson listen you smart guy. i need you to pay attention here. If you have the best elites in the world and you’re competing against another group of the same caliber of athletes. you know, world class athletes. WHO DO YOU WANT AS QB. J Herbo. this is coming as a mariota fan. Herbert is the best QB in oregon history. Also the most talented QB and the best throwing ability, most accurate. the list goes on n on
@Jack Nelson NOBODY SAID GREATEST. if u wanna discuss that yea sure Mariota is the the most decorated QB in Oregon history. Also Mariota was surrounded around a great offensive scheme with so much speed, Herbert didn’t have the same. Also mariota has zero rings with a lot talent, herbert had way lesser talent and still won a rose bowl. but nonetheless you’re right mariota stats made him him seem like he was better but in reality Herbert is the best option if they were both in the QB room in their prime.
Oregon ducks 2014 pac 12 champions!!! I ❤ them oregon ducks!!! I ❤ #8 marcus mariota!!! Best team in the pac 12!!! The oregon ducks have talent!!! God bless marcus mariota and the oregon ducks!!! I ❤ the oregon ducks in the pac 12!!!
If only Carrington woulda been available to play in the championship game against Ohio State. No, he had to go and get a team weed policy suspension. Because of WR injuries, Mariota was already shorthanded. He had a great game In beating Florida State in the semifinals so was really needed.
First half was a struggle for the Ducks, field goals, missed red zone chances, etc, however, Arizona didnt do anything either, which is why the offense stayed relaxed and got it going, different against Ohio St, because they kept scoring, Ducks fell behind big, got rattled, and couldnt get it going..
Because the Ducks lost all their pass catchers for the game. Pharaoh Brown gone for leg injury, Darren Carrington suspended for smoking weed, Devon Allen tore his ACL against Florida State. This was all shortly before the National Championship and Chip couldn’t figure out a way to fix those missing pieces in that timeframe.
The mid-season loss to AZ was because Oregon's offensive line was a walking M*A*S*H unit. An absurd number of injuries had 3rd stringers and walk-ons starting to patch the holes. By the time the Pac-12 championship game rolled around, a few of the starters finally got back and the offense ran more or less normally.
You couldn't be more wrong -- lol. Mariota has a higher career completion percent (66.8% v 64.0%) Mariota has a higher career passing yards (10,796 v 10,541) Mariota has a higher career 300-yard Passing Games (16 v 9) Mariota has a higher career TD Passes (105 v 95) Mariota has a higher career wins (36 v 29) Mariota has a higher career rushing TD (29 v 13) Mariota also did everything in just three years vs Herbert's four years. And let's not forget, Mariota won the Heisman, Herbert did not.
Oregon Should of had three more touchdowns and could of won by more. Should of been 44-0 at halftime. The overthrow penalty and fourth and goal failed Mariota missed so many throws man
