I live in oregon and I personally hate it, you always have to wait for the gas attendant, its so stupid one person pumping like 8 cars when everyone can just do it themselves alot faster. NOT TO MENTION gas stations CLSOE early in small towns because you know LABOR so if you forget to fill up before closing time you get stuck onless their a nearby gas station thats open.
yes but no one uses them,, they just piss and shit wherever they happen to be,, but they make you pick up your dog poop if he craps in the park but its ok for humans to shit there ..and they think the public is to stupid to pump their own gas because of all the mentally challenged people from commiefornia moving there
Some stations will offer it for ppl but who the hell wants to wait for someone to come out and wait for their gas to be pumped. This guy on another news segment said people are worried the static electricity will blow them up so they want people qualified to pump the gas. I about fell out of my chair laughing, I'll send my 11yo daughter over to pump the mans gas if he's that scared...bwahahaha!
This is just hysterical That one girl looked almost offended like, Lady you're old enough to drive a car how come you can't pump your own damn gas ⛽⛽⛽ Oregon is backwards
Are you talking about the lady at 0:44 who was literally smiling and just said "I'd rather have somebody else do it though"? How the hell did she look almost offended? I guarantee you get ZERO bitches
I actually couldn’t believe that I wasn’t allowed to pump my own gas when I moved to Portland. It was ridiculous, I got in trouble for trying to pump my own gas about a week after getting there.
All U do is pay for gas unscrew your gas cap select grade put the nozzle in squeeze the trigger when it's done pumping hang of the nozzle screw cap back on then leave ,what's so hard about that 🤔 Smh
Snuffy Magoo idk I just read another comment saying his wife fucked their gas car by putting diesel in it. She pushed in on the flap with her hand and squirted it from the pump hovering above it
Like with most government mandates, some people believe anything not mandated is illegal. You can still go where the service you want is offered. What you'll find is, extras come at an extra cost and if it is no longer offered you have no right to demand it from someone else.
I married a woman from Oregon and didnt know this was a thing until we went visit her family there. Dumbest crap i ever heard of. But its liberal oregon so...
I think it should be optional. Let's say you're a cripple and don't want to get out of your car, ring the bell. It shouldn't be against the law to pump your own gas, government morons trying to make more jobs and more people's lives less convenient
Think of it like this... the way we view N. Koreans as being insulated and ignorant because of their own government... that's how America views Oregon and NJ regarding not knowing how to pump gas, and rightfully so. Kinda sad situation. And its not a diss on OR residents, as its no choice of their own. If I was born there I might be clueless as to how most of the outside world is as well. But the change needs to happen. Pumping gas is far, FAR simpler than the act of driving itself and the system is nothing but welfare in disguise.
I've lived in New Jersey for almost sixty years and have only pumped gas a handful of times in my life, and then only when I was traveling out of state and had no other choice. I'm actually exceptionally uncomfortable when doing so.
Lol I went to Oregon a while back and the gas station I went to was packed all pumps occupied and there was only one employee there lol... haha he was running back and forth pumping every car while there were teenagers inside the gas station stuffing there pockets with snacks..... it was overall a shit show .. felt bad for the guy tbh
I was working at another gas station that day, and I wonder why they went to the only gas station in town that was stupid enough to still be pumping gas for the idiots. The two so-called men they interviewed both started to cry when they found out that we did the smart thing and went self-service and left without getting gas
I am 34 years old and I’ve lived in the United States for all of them. How am I just now learning that not being able to pump your own gas is a thing? Oregon and New Jersey are proof that God has blind spots.
So you saying people dont want to get out of there car that is what we call laziness. I live in north Dakota I think if I can stand out side putting my gas in. In -30 weather you lazy asses can get out of your own car to put in your own gas
Boo hoo. If you’re driving in that weather you’re getting out of your car at some point. You can also push the tab down on the handle and it’ll keep pumping while you sit down in the car.
I live in NJ, and I really appreciate full service gas…especially during winter. My father had to teach me how to pump gas before I moved to Ohio for college. It’s so much easier to roll down the window and tell the attendant how much gas you want.
I thought that this was originally done to create more jobs for younger people to stimulate the economy? If so I wonder how it's going to affect rural areas which are already suffering financially.
I just move to Portland from TX. It's literally stupid.... The argument is jobs... And you might slip.... You don't have to fire people to make this legal, I didnt slip getting into my car in the first place. I still have to get out and wave someone down or put I'm my card. At guys pumping are super sketchy.
I saw someone on Facebook say that it’s illegal to pump your own gas in Oregon and I am in disbelief that it wasn’t a lame joke. It’s like they banned chewing your own food. Just why?
my husband is not ever going to let some stranger pump gas into his motorcycle when he tells the attendant no thanks i will do it myself they say ok no problem ..do they wash your windows and check the oil and coolant also like a real full service station or just stop you from hacking the gas pump and ripping off a tank full of gas on there way back to commiefornia
They are not lazy, that’s just their way of life man, it’s how it is. Y’all should be understanding. It is pretty funny though. I would like someone to pump my gas. Especially when it’s -10 out
I lived in Oregon since 1956, & had never had to pump my own...I paid for it, the least they could do is put it in my car...All these companies are always looking to do things as cheap as possible...grocery stores, few cashiers....but there is "do it yourself" why do you think a McDonalds has a place, a fixture for YOU, the customer to bus your own table?, cheap...cost saving. All retail is itching to get cheap automation so we all get have no one, not a single actual human to attend to us...imagine a common shopping Mall with not a single human behind the counter, ...is this what you want?....you can have it...talk to robots all you want....what the robots can't do, your gonna wind up doing it...
Yes, you idiot, that's EXACTLY what I want. I'd rather the other customers not be there either. If I want to interact with another person, I'll do it in a social setting where I can choose who I talk to. If I'm forced to interact with a bunch of random people just to get through my day, I'm liable to get stuck with asshats like you.
I would rather pump my own gas than have some carny do it for me. I drove through Oregon and I didn't understand at first why there was a homeless person in a vest pumping gas. I know now not to stop and buy gas in Oregon. Get enough to get through the state.
