The guys who tune this Song he's Alam Khan. Brother of Azam Khan. If you Don't know Azam Khan he's a freedom fighter and Pop Maestro of Bangladesh. There’s a song call 'Papri Keno Bujena' of him. There's a version of this song in Wind of Change sang by Mizan. Try It.

You should listen the original song. I have been listening the track since my childhood. I always love the original version.... But once in an commercial AD grameen phone a Bollywood singer Shaan sang a part of this track and that was great also. Though the original version was made so many years ago, and the wind of change use so many modern instruments, but the original one is always great . Take care Love from Bangladesh ❤️❤️

Like you said its natural to be biased on the version you grew up listening to. But still it felt like papon overdid his part. The viloin seemed totally out of place for me. Also, the very essence of the song was a bit lost because of the way the wind of change version was arranged. From instrumental point of view you may find this version more appealing which is quite understandable as Bangla isn’t your native language. But for those who grew up listening to this song they mainly fell for it for its lyrics and tune and the emotion that bound them together. I would love this version more if they kept it more minimal on the instrumental side and placed the foreign elements a little more on the background. The one covered by Bohubrihi is more of my type. Btw, as always, Jalal is absolutely phenomenal in this version. If I keep coming back to this song, this is because of him.
