I love those mass market editions of Terry Pratchett's books, those are the versions I read as a kid. I've slowly started collecting all the books in those editions when I find them secondhand.

Girl organizing Star Wars books in timeline order is a chore in and of itself!!! Great job on these shelves. They look so good!!

I was so happy to see the Terry Pratchett books 😊 I have a whole bookcase for him as I was very silly and started getting the collector's library editions whilst also keeping my original editions 😂

Oh I love the hardbacks. I’ve always resisted cause I know how dangerous it would be but Chris has four and wants to get more so looks like our collection is gonna grow aha 😂❤

I sort my books by 1. genre, 2. read/not read, 3. author/collection, and 4. size/shape. Sorting them into read and not read makes it very easy to find the next book to read. Because I am quite easily distracted and I have my bookcases in the bedroom, it's more important that the books blend in with each other than creating absolute order. A small book placed between two large ones will not do.

I also find myself stumbling over the alphabet when redoing my books, so I've just written it down on a small piece of card stock. Makes life a lot easier 😅

I was annoyed with Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series for changing the designs of the books. It got to the last three and the publishers decided to change them from the beautiful deep coloured ones to a crappy jpeg photo- type thing so that the last three don't match, but it could have been worse - as Twilight was everywhere at the time that the last three books were published, they could have gone with a design that mimicked that (and the publishers did re-issue the earlier books with those covers on them.) On the whole, though, I feel like book covers in general aren't well thought out now - hardly any of the publishers issue them with real art on them any more. I also separate hardbacks from paperbacks and try to put the hardbacks on the bottom of the bookcase since they tend to be heavier and it stops the bookcase from toppling over.

Sooooo .... once you're done there how's about coming for a little visit to Canada and giving me a hand organizing and shelving my book collection in our new condo??? There's only about 2000 books to be spread around the place. It'll be fun! I'll provide the tea. Please respond soonest .... I'm a bit overwhelmed here!!!

They’re from Argos! They’re the Maine style which come in deep and shallow so these are the shallow ones. I love them!

I have only read Captain Bluebeard so far but I loved it. My dad also read it love it and then bought all the other ones and read them aha. Noooo, I need to get book four in the mirror visitor but now I'm worried it's too late to find the hardback to match.
