Naan bread recipe!!! * 1 tsp sugar * 1/4 oz active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp) * 1/2 cup warm water * 1/2 cup of sour cream or plain yogurt (either on works well) *2 1/4 cups of flour (bread four works best. I’ve also used gluten free bread mix and it worked) * 1 tbsp oil * 1/2 tsp salt Mix all ingredients together and let dough rise for 1 hour. Comes out to between 550g to 600 g of dough that I split into 6 pieces. Roll out flat and cook on both sides in a cast iron pan until bubbly and lightly toasted. Delicious!!!
I had broke my glass bowl for my kitchenaid and called their customer service and they sent me a new one. It wasnt free but it was definitely reasonable. Comes with the nice lid for it to!
When you're out of eggs next time, you can always make a chia/flax egg with a tbsp of either chia or flax and 3 tbsp of water and then let it it sit for like 2 minutes to get gooey. I had to do this as an emergency recently in my banana bread recipe and it honesty tasted no different - maybe even better. Love your videos Kim! Been watching them for years!

Hi Kim - I enjoy watching you so much. You are so genuine and very entertaining - in a funny good way :) I'm guessing that the reason you have more trouble keeping potatoes, onions and garlic from spoiling at room temperature is because you live in a more humid climate. I live in a very dry (almost desert) climate and don't have much of a problem with that. Also, I read that your potatoes and onions should not be next to each other because the potatoes will take on the moisture of the onions. I keep mine in separate cupboards but with your large pantry you could probably just keep them on opposite sides of the pantry. Anyway, just a thought........ Have a great day!

I love the reusable zip top bags but the disposable ones are FANTASTIC for freezing foods flat in the freezer…soups, sauces, anything more liquid is great in those bags and freeze wonderfully 😊

You are looking good. With my first baby, the Dr. said all a mother has to gain is 17# but they would allow 20#. I was fine with that because I like to be on the slim side. When I was going up in weight, the nurse said to watch it and at the next spot., I was on track again. My baby was nearly 7# and I felt great and went home in my prepregnant clothes and the nurses on the floor were raving about me. Next Dr. said the sky is the limit. He had 5 children and apparently his wife wore a little bit from all 5 afterwards. The nurse kept on telling me to eat and gain more at each checkup so I did because of the hounding and against my will but I did watch everything that I ate and I normally do. This time I gained 29 pounds and my baby was only 3 ounce’s bigger and still under7# so I was the one bearing the burden, but I lost it right away. I had elastic waist slacks then so I still went home in my street clothes but didn’t feel like my old self.
No joke- enjoy every second w those kids- especially the 2 oldest.. time flies as u know but it flies more in High school. I’m a bucket of tears- bitter sweet.

Kim u need the expandable can stair storage things for your can shelf. U can see your canned goods so much better. They organize them very nicely. I got mine at Target. Love them.

I use a butter knife to mix the oily kind of almond and peanut butter, it seems to work better then a spoon. Also I saved $50 not buying the zip lock bag storage thing for the drawer. Love what you did with the drawer. I didn’t know IKEA had zip lock bags🤯🧡thank you for a great video!
I bought one of those wooden ziplock baggie holders and it didn’t fit my “freezer” bags. I only spent $36ish on it and sold it for $25 on FB marketplace I bought a set of clear bins on Amazon and just lay the bundle of baggies in the bin. I used museum putty to keep them from sliding. And I LOVE my IKEA baggies!!!!!!!! We live about an hour from a store and I go twice a year just to stock up on those. The most perfect sizes for sure and it looks (by your selection) like they have a smaller size than the peach and red box now???? I’m going soon!!
Just a suggestion….get a bin you can’t see through and label it Beans and Lentils and then keep your secret stash in there instead of losing it all over your kitchen. Although that would spoil the great feeling you get when you find a forgotten treat. 🤗
I was just thinking, what gems these Around the house happenings videos are. Even though they seem to be just like " a little bit of cooking and baking and some cleaning. My Oma is no longer able to do things in the kitchen,... after she had a stroke. But she rocked it all. When I moved out, I always called for recepies and such, but she just said:" You just have to look and taste, I eyeball. Don't stick to measurements". Your kids and grandkids will always have this videos to see how you did all of it. Struggle sometimes, evolve recepies an so on. That's priceless!!!
