I've been organizing my fabric stash! I just love the results. I have found solutions for storing both large and small pieces of fabric. And, they LOOK great in my sewing room. So, not only are these solutions practical, they are also decorative.

I have also used the comic book boards for my quilting fabric and I can put various amounts of yardage on them. I write on a sticky note and tape it to the board so I know exactly how much I have of the particular fabric. I use large, coated booby pins to hold the yardage in place. I then put all the fabric on my shelves, and have a sheer curtain hung by a tension rod, to keep the dust off the fabric but still visible.

Just subscribed. So pleased I found you. I love your room, you have to have colour around you. Mine is lilac. Am in the middle of reorganising my sewing room, so will be rolling the extra metres and putting in bins. Thank you for that idea.

Great timing. I have been measuring and organizing my fabric collection this month. I am using quartered foam boards for over the one yard pieces. The comic boards will be a good fit for the smaller ones. I too forgot what I have. My oldest piece is from a trip to Hong Kong in 1986. I am amazed at the amount of yardage I have, no more fabric for me. But then I say that about chocolate too. 🪡🍫🍩

I'm like you, I'm not a quilter, per se, but I do have quite a bit of fat quarters and those little charm squares, because I love the prints! Lol I am going to make some of those bowls for the microwave so I don't keep burning my hands and I'm planning on making some of those fabric baskets with some embroidery on them. Love your fabric organization! So clever!😊❤👍

for yardage over 4 yards I use 2 comic books back to back. Use plastic dress shirt style alligator clips to secure. Amazon 5.99 for 200

Hey girl. I wish I had your stash. I live your sewing room. I just added comic book boards ti my Amazon cart, game changer for sure. I have more cotton for quilts than garment fabrics. I ordered my first knit fabric its on the way. Now I just need a serger. Lol . Nice hair btw. Just gorgeous

Oh to have a room like yours. I have to keep my fabric hidden away so it doesn't fade in the sun, but I do try and roll it. I get out my fabric every now and then, look at it and then put it away again.

Love the color!!! I also use the comic book cards. Instead of elastic, I got the clear plastic alligator clips like they use on dress shirts to keep them folded. I use one to start the fold and then when I get to the end I use a clip to close it plus I add a small 3 x 3 index card with how much yardage, name of fabric, what project, place I purchased it or any other info that would help me if I needed to find more. Then the card slips under the clip.

Good Job! Question for you ... Did you make the little fabric baskets near your sewing machine with the rope handles? If so would you share your pattern and/or how you did so, and/or is there a video on them?
